In this episode of the podcast series "Conversations with the Universe," host Sylvia Leifheit introduces the series by recounting a near‑death experience that dramatically heightened her senses and reshaped her view of human existence. She explains that the series supplements the insights from her books, beginning with her first work, "The Basics of Being." Leifheit promotes her Spiritual Network, "Spine," a free global platform connecting seekers with healers, podcasts, events, and spiritual resources. The core teaching of the episode is that consciousness functions like a tool: just as a microscope reveals new aspects of a rock, shifting our perceptual tools changes our experience of the unchanged cosmos. She emphasizes that our inner attitude creates the illusion of the external world, and that focused intention repeatedly opens new tools, fostering flexibility, strength, and heightened awareness. This intentional, tool‑based practice trains the "consciousness muscle," allowing gradual ascent to higher energy levels and a deeper journey toward the self. Listeners are repeatedly invited to join Spine to support their spiritual growth and healthier living.

Dear human being, beloved soul, I welcome you to my podcast series, Conversations with the Universe. After a near-death experience, my perception of our human existence changed profoundly. I became more sensitive with all our known senses. I feel more intensely, see people with different eyes, and often take a different perspective on life and our challenges. In my books, I share these altered perspectives and all the knowledge that has flowed through me since my near-death, and thus record it for all those who are searching for something more, for the meaning of our existence here on Mother Earth. And it is now a great pleasure for me to share this knowledge with you in this way as a supplement to my books. This season I'm dedicating myself to my very first work, "The Basics of Being." I wish you many wonderful insights on your path. Thank you.
Love, Sylvia Leifheit. First, a quick note about my network, Spine. This is short for the Spiritual Network. And is the first global social media network for holistic knowledge, awareness, spirituality, and above all, a bridge between providers and seekers. I invite you to join us and connect with me there. Feel free to look around, find lots of podcasts, events, healers, but above all, lots of inspiration to grow. It's free. But now let's start with today's episode. Consciousness can be shaped. Einstein once said, "Every day I am amazed more and more." because he too recognized that through concentration, i.e., the targeted exploration of a phenomenon, thousands of other unexplored phenomena were revealed to him. Similar to what I explained in the chapter "The Foundation of Being," I would like to briefly outline once again how consciousness can become our tool. Imagine you want to investigate the properties of a specific material. Let's take a rock as an example. With the naked eye, You will be able to conduct many experiments and document your findings. But there are limits to what you can see, and you want to delve deeper into the matter of the rock. To do this, you use a microscope. Your curiosity is still not satisfied, and you want to learn more about the structure of the rock. You reach for an electron microscope. This tool allows you to gain completely different, unexpected insights. On this path of discovery, Only the tool has changed, but the rock is still the same. Only you, your perception, your view of it, have changed. And so it is a principle of consciousness that the tools of the body in which consciousness wants to unfold are decisive for the perception of the cosmos and all being. If you change your perception, your experiences change, but the cosmos always remains the same. Your inner attitude creates the illusion of the external, not the external creates your attitude. Focusing on one thing will lead your consciousness to a point where you are called upon to open yourself, and this opening will give you new tools. These, in turn, will require you to focus on them in order to expand yourself once again. This process is motivated by your intention. You will be led again and again to individual points that repeatedly require you to reformulate your intention. In the process, you become more flexible in your tool consciousness, and this flexibility enables you to act more in tune with the flow of being. As a result, you gain strength and at the same time greater awareness. In this way, your consciousness muscle is trained more and you slowly but steadily ascend in your consciousness to other energy levels. A beautiful journey begins, the journey to yourself. And I would like to remind you to join our community Spine. We are a community that wants to help you live a healthier life, practice your spirituality, and expand your consciousness. We help you find and connect with healers around the world, and we help you give your life a new meaning in different ways. We are Spine Connections That Help.
