Hello, welcome to this time of Bible study. Today we're looking at Mark chapter 5, all of it. Thank you, Jesus, for bringing us together for this Bible study. Anoint our ears and our hearts. To receive and retain all that You want us to receive and retain from this. In Jesus' name, amen. So, I'll be reading the full chapter in a bit. The specific verses we'll look more into are verses 12 to 13, 19 to 20, 40, 42 to 43, We'll also have a quick look into Mark 10:25. So they arrived at the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from the tombs. To meet him. This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain. Whenever he was put into chains and shackles, as he often was, he snapped the chains from his wrists and smashed the shackles. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Day and night he wandered among the burial caves in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. When Jesus was still some distance away, the man saw Him, ran to meet Him, and bowed low before Him. With a shriek, he screamed, "Why are You interfering with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In the name of God, I beg You, don't torture me!" For Jesus had already said to the spirit, "Come out of the man, you evil spirit!" Then Jesus demanded, "What is your name?" And he replied, "My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man." Then the evil spirits begged him again and again not to send them to some distant place. There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby. "Send us into those pigs," the spirits begged. "Let us enter them." So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of about 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water. The herdsmen fled to the nearby town and the surrounding countryside, spreading the news as they ran. People rushed down to see what happened. A crowd soon gathered around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. He was sitting there, fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid. Then those who had seen what happened told the others about the demon-possessed man and the pigs. And the crowd began pleading with Jesus to go away and leave them alone. As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. But Jesus said, "No, go home to your family and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he's been." So the man started off to visit the 10 towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him, and everyone was amazed 'At what he told them.' Jesus heals her in response to faith. Jesus got into the boat again and went back to the other side of the lake, where a large crowd gathered round him on the shore. Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him. 'My little daughter is dying,' he said. 'Please come and lay your hands on her.' "Jesus, heal her so she can live!" Jez went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him. A woman in the crowd had suffered for 12 years with constant bleeding. She'd suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she'd spent everything she had to pay them. But she'd gotten no better—in fact, she'd gotten worse. She'd heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, "If I can just touch His robe, I will be healed." Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she'd been healed of a terrible condition. Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from Him. So He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched My robe?" His disciples said to Him, "Look at this crowd." At this crowd pressing round you, how can you ask, 'Who touched me?'" But he kept on looking round to see who had done it. Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realisation of what had happened, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace; your suffering is over." While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the town of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, "Your daughter is dead. There's no use troubling the teacher now." But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid; just have faith." Then Jesus topped the crowd and wouldn't let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw much commotion and weeping and wailing. He went inside and asked, "Why all this commotion and weeping? The child isn't dead, she's only asleep." The crowd laughed at him, but he made them all leave, and he took the girl's father and mother and his 3 disciples into the room where the girl was lying. Holding her hand, he said to her, "Talitha cum," which means, "Little girl, get up." And the girl, who was 12 years old, immediately stood up and walked around. They were overwhelmed and They were totally amazed. Jesus gave them strict orders not to tell anyone what happened, and then he told them to give her something to eat. So, um, the Lord's been on my case since yesterday regarding this Bible study, um, been dropping insights into it. So demons know the name of Jesus, Nabiyya. Okay, that's, that's established in that. But the remnant of those demons is not inside people or homes. There had to be a clear out and dispatching the spirits away from the person who was affected, but not in a person in the vicinity. Now, these, um, so the, the events with Legion and with the little girl were both divine appointments. The man got commissioned to share the news And for the girl, it was synchronicity. It was her 12th year. 12 is an apostolic number. Jesus ministered to the atmosphere before ministering to the girl and believed in mocking spirits cannot be in the same room where the glory has to be ministered. So they had to be dealt with first, okay? The spirits of mockery The spirit of unbelief had to go. They had to pack out. That family was told not to share this testimony to spare the backlash of witchcraft and keep the girl healed, because when someone or a house has been delivered and healed, they are anointed. But the girl and the parents weren't ready. Whereas the man had a weapon which gave him grace, his testimony and the witnesses who ran away, there was weight to it. Others could also testify of that truth. The more someone is under demonic power, the bigger the miracle and testimony they'll have. Most of those with a call on their lives have received a multiplied amount of demonic spirits and curses to stop them from entering it. The man approached Jesus, the woman who touched His garment too. Both placed expectations, a demand on what He carried, either mantle or authority. The child's father went to get Jesus. He put an expectation too on behalf of this child. We can put an expectation, a demand on behalf of someone else to Jesus and on His showing up and delivering the goods. So we get good news to share all around at the appointed time and for the appointed purpose, for the anointing to turn up and do what it's supposed to do. Expectations, hunger, thirst, a demand has to be set, whether by the person directly or on someone else's behalf. When Jesus sets foot somewhere, there's the glory, the roar of God, and there's no competition in the Kingdom of God, meaning There's no competition between God or demons. Demons have to bow and go. They're not allowed to compete with God because they go against the purpose of deliverance, healing, and restoration of people and their destinies. What is counterproductive, what is out to kill the good fruits, is disposed of, thrown away. What is out to rob us of our healing, which is in our inheritance as children of God, our portion, cannot stand up and contest God's authority because the The power of the glory is unparalleled, unequaled. The power of God has no equal, no match in levels of deliverance, healing, and restoration. The dunamis, the breaker anointing, puts out the demons. It displaces them. It puts a separation between the Holy of Holies and what's mocking it, what's out to disturb the shalom it creates. All three people meet Jesus, fell at His feet under His power. The glory slams people to the floor. People cannot stand in God's presence until they're delivered and healed because the weight, the pressure of the glory, the Kabod, is too heavy. The atmosphere is too weighty. Still with me? Bowing down to our Creator establishes the right level of relationships and intercession directly to Him. Humility, obedience, fear of God, awe of what God can do, asking to be gifted a miracle from the place of knowing that we all fall short, but that Jesus is graceful enough to forgive us as long as arrogance, pride, unforgiveness, and our mentalities, the lies and wrong theologies we've fallen for, are all dealt with, disposed of, let go of. There's no messing about in the atmosphere, there's no negotiation. Bowing down is the only way to access, to open up the anointing realm. It is the entryway, the gateway. Mark 10:25. 5. Um, hang on a minute. In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. Now, why is that? Hmm. If you're loaded with things which weigh, such as sin or money, and you won't let go of them, it's more difficult to come to that place of humility, obedience, and bowing down. If the love of God, the fear of God is in you, then this is resolved. You deal with that which weighs you and stops you from advancing into His presence. Whoo! Atay shayaba! Don't settle for less than your portion. Healing is yours. Ha! Shokorri bebebebebebe. Name it, claim it, put a demand on it. Hallelujah! Korri bebe yarere. Oh, sing a new song of healing. Sing a new song of healing. Rebella! Rebella! Oh, sing a new song of healing everyone! Healing everywhere, healing everywhere. Oh, no place without healing, and no place without healing. Healing everywhere, healing everywhere. I decree, declare the healing anointing over you, oh, that all that has to be healed is being healed in you, on you, and around you, so that you will go forth and pour out more healing.
