BET executives are allegedly demanding $25,000 to $100,000 from filmmakers to air their movies on the network. Three people were fired, not laid off as Paramount claimed, over how BET's leadership was handling the situation.
Apparently, um, these three here that were escorted out personally, and, um, even though Paramount said that it was a layoff, they were really firing because of how the top executives were handling things at BET. So if you are a filmmaker and you have a film and you want your film on BET, BET executives were allegedly charging filmmakers $25,000 to $40,000, sometimes up to $100,000 to play and stream their movie on BET.
