My name is Damien.

Damien. Okay. All right, Damien. So, um, tell us a little bit about yourself. Are you a religious or spirit or consider yourself like a spiritual man?

I would say I am not a religious man at all. I am spiritual. I, you know, I believe in God and Jesus Christ. I'll be honest, I haven't gone to church in quite a few years though.

Okay. And what's something that you hope these ladies will pick up about you just by speaking to you tonight?

Um, I hope that they would be able to pick up that I bring a lot of enthusiasm to life. Um, I'm a very fun, lighthearted person. I like to be outside every chance.

Okay. And let me ask you something. Um, you sound like you got some age on you. Okay. You mind? A little bit. All right. Do you mind telling me your age?

If you don't mind. I do not mind. I don't mind at all. I'm 51 years— I turned 51 years old in January.

And so how do you, you know, with you having some age on you, obviously, how do you manage your emotions?

I try to stay positive and just, you know, be grateful for the things that I do have in my life. Be grateful for all the things that are positive in my life. That really keeps my emotions in check where I don't get too low.

Um, I don't know, I was just expecting like— I don't know, I had this expectation of like this really robust voice, but his voice is very soothing. Like, he could talk me down, he could definitely talk me down.

Um, I wasn't an athlete. I was more of a cheerleader. Um, I am in shape. I love to work out. Played basketball maybe when I was in middle school. I thought I wanted to be a basketball player, but I I love sports.

So I'm from— I'm originally from South Carolina.

I'm a very happy person. Yes.

Okay. Um, career-wise, have you reached the pinnacle or there's still things you want to pursue in your career?

That's a good question. I'm at a place where I wouldn't mind doing something different, but also I got to be responsible as well financially, and I just don't know how responsible that would be to walk away from a company that I poured, you know, poured a large part of my life into.

Retirement, what does that look like for you? Do you reinvent yourself and start another career like you mentioned, or do you just chill and travel and hike?

That's another good question. Uh, retirement for me, it's, it's still a little ways away, so I'm not I'm not making any, like, definitive plans yet. And so I'm thinking in retirement I might get back into coaching, you know.

How often do you travel?

Uh, so for many years I didn't travel too often. Um, within the last year, I've been fucking traveling all the damn time.

Do you have a passport?

I do.

And I will be. I will. 3 words: my mom is without question the most kind human I've ever known in my life.

Yes, I have one brother and he's exactly one year older than me.

Okay, so no sisters. Okay, so Damien, if I took you back home to my island and we introduced you to a new dish that you've never heard of, are you open on trying new dishes and new experiences?

Yeah, I'll, I'll try definitely any dish. I would, I would try to eat anything for sure. Um, but new, as far as new experiences, yes, I'll try any new experience.

How are you with, if you had dated a girl, how strong are you with them with watching sports and committing time to sports? Because I'm a big football fan.

Okay, if I were dating a girl that was, you know, that wanted to spend a lot of her time watching football, that's fine. I mean, she can spend her time, you know, however she wants to. I would probably just go find something else to do during when the football games are on.

How are you on communication with your relationships?

I put a high priority on communicating and talking.

That's my number one key.

Yeah, I don't like to do the silent, you know, the silent treatment where You shut people out. And but I understand that that is how some people deal with crisis and some people do conflict, so I respect that for sure. And I won't push, I won't push or, or force a conversation either.

All right, so real quick, Whitney, so saving the best for last, Tamar, I saw you kind of throwing little my man, my man, my man, my man. What was all of that, sweetie? While they were talking, while Kalita and Damien were conversing, what was that?

I was just mocking her when she said, I'll change it for my man. I'm like, okay, my man, my man, my man. I could see her being one of those girls. Like, yes, I could definitely see it. Like, canceling a girl's plans. Like, girl, my man had plans for us, I'm not coming.

That's sad. I am that person.

I know you spoke very, um, highly of your mother, so that leads me to my question. I would like to know, are you very family oriented?

I am a family oriented guy, person. Yes, I, I put a high, high priority on family and, and my, and my kids, and I'm shocked nobody's asked me that question yet, but, uh That was actually about to be my next question because you didn't answer that first.

I wanted to know how many kids did you have?

Yeah, I, I have 3 sons.

And they're, they're all, they're all adult-aged right now. They're all adults, um, and I put a huge priority on them. They are, they're my treasures. They're my, they're my gifts that the good Lord above blessed me with, and they're, they're, they're just very, very important to me, and I put a high priority on them. Yeah.

So my next question is, I would like to know, what is your love language?

That's a good question. One of them is physical touch, correct?

Correct.

Yeah. So, and by physical touch, for me, I'm a very affectionate person. Um, I, I like to give affection and I like to receive affection. I like to do acts of— is it acts of Kindness, I think it is. Is that—

is that service?

Yeah, I like that. That's another love language that I like to, to display.

Oh, that's awesome, because I like those acts of service. That's kind of my love language as well.

I feel like I'm a good communicator, and I feel like I have the ability to relate to people no matter who they are.

Do you have a college degree?

I do not, nope. I spent 3 years in college, and I, I was more into having fun. I'm sure you heard me say that quite a few times tonight, that that I'm a fun person.

Um, so COVID started. I'm in a great relationship, we go to Mexico, I get the notion to stay, I want to stay. And so, um, I lived in Mexico all of COVID And so he told me like, if you choose to stay here, my care for you stops here. I'm gonna get on the plane and I'm gonna fly home and I'm gonna totally disconnect from you if you decide to do this. And that was like one of the greatest relationships of my lifetime. But staying in Mexico was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I would do it a thousand times more.

Um, you know, he was just very controlling and he just wasn't supportive of me. Anything. It was a lot of me being held back for a lot of the things, um, that I wanted to do.
