Two people debate whether a woman is at the center of Drake and Future's rumored feud. She insists she's Colombian, not Black, while the other explains that race and nationality aren't mutually exclusive, using Dominican identity as an example.
So everybody has been thinking that this beef that's been going on for the past 2 years between 2 of y'all's faves, Drake and Future, is all because of this less than melanated young woman here. And she came out and decided to tell her side of things somewhat. Let's—
who the fuck said I was Black? I'm very much not Black. I'm very much Colombian.
I know Black.
I don't want to be Black, babe. Nobody's beefing over me. I'm not that important. I'm just a regular girl. We glad you know. I'm just a regular person. That's honestly, I don't know what the hype's about.
I don't know either, but I would like to tell you there's a difference between ethnicity and race and nationality. There are differences, my love. If you are Colombian, that is your nationality. You can be Black and be Colombian, but it is given. I know, I know, I know Black are Dominican. I know Black are Dominican, darker than me.
