In this informal interview, a client (Speaker A) praises lawyer Chad for his decisive, action‑focused approach to handling a bankruptcy case and highlights his unusually relaxed, healthy demeanor compared to typical attorneys. Chad emphasizes the importance of choosing action over inaction, accepting a bumpy road to achieve hopeful outcomes, and avoiding the paralysis that stress can cause. The client notes Chad’s consistently tanned skin, bright teeth, and overall calm appearance, contrasting it with other lawyers who appear stressed, wrinkled, and unwell in court. The exchange underscores how a lawyer’s personal health and stress management can influence client confidence and courtroom performance.
I literally meditated on you, Chad. I kept coming back, 5-star reviews. I was just like, I need a really good bankruptcy attorney because everybody kept telling me impossible. Well, it's possible for this, this. And you just said, let's just go. Let's just do it. That's all you can do is try, right?
Action over inaction. So many people get frozen in these scenarios and that's the worst thing you can do. I mean, if you're not going to make, if you're not going to make a change, you're going to get the same results over and over again and you're going to deal with that stress. So Um, I tell all my clients, let's make it happen. Maybe it's going to be a bumpy road, but I'd rather go through the bumpy road, have hope on the other side, get you to that other side so that you can start to rebuild instead of just thinking about all the options or bad things that could happen.
You know what I like about you? You don't look overly stressed like other lawyers. Chad, your skin good. You got a tan all the time. Your teeth white. The other lawyers be coming into court, they be pissy, suits be wrinkled. Skin be bad, they be stressed.
Yeah, life is too short to be stressed. I was just in court, uh, yesterday actually. I can't even tell. Yeah, I was just in court and they sent me in there. And actually it's fun now because I've gotten to know the judges and obviously my colleagues. It's fun to see them. Yeah, and, and you're right, unfortunately, you know, lawyers are known for, uh, being alcoholics, being out of shape, not taking care of their health because they're pouring everything into their work, and then once, once they're outside of work, they kind of want to forget about it, and they don't do it in a healthy way.
