Wild Performances & Savage Judges | Shoot Your Shot Talent Show | Ep.7

Episode 7 of the "Shoot Your Shot" talent show, hosted by Latasha Transrina Kebe with co‑judges Derek King and Tashawn Davidway, follows a chaotic audition night in Chicago where a diverse lineup of singers, dancers, and spoken‑word artists perform for a $300 prize and a spot on the 2026 tour. The judges critique each act, focusing heavily on confidence, stage presence, and originality, while also navigating personal dynamics and occasional profanity. A "gold card" mechanic is used to rescue contestants they feel deserve another chance. Mid‑episode, the panel decides to split the competition, moving several spoken‑word performers to a dedicated future episode, and they outline a voting process for the audience (the "Winos") to select the final winners. The episode ends with the hosts promoting the show’s open‑season audition process, sharing contact information, and encouraging viewers to follow the judges on social media.
Chapters
All right, welcome back to Shoot Your Shot. We are actually looking for talent to go on tour with us, okay? And so this is an episodic series where you guys are given a link. We don't prejudge you, but we do judge you, okay? So which means anybody can get in here and shoot their shot, whether you're a singer, actor, dancer, comedian whatsoever, okay? And so I have two of the best and funniest judges, okay, uh, on the internet right now. I'm gonna start off with my, my co-worker Sean David Way. How you doing, Sean?
Hello, Tasha.
You sound like you're gonna get in somebody's ass today.
I am. I can be really messy.
Oh, the contestants ain't scared, they listening backstage. They should be. All right, now let me get Derek's ass on up in here trying to outshine me on my motherfucking anniversary by giving his woman the biggest damn rock I've ever seen in my life.
Well, you know, uh, I have to do what I need to do, you know what I'm saying? We celebrating, that's why I got my garb and had that lip.
I'm gonna tell your wife you selling dick on the road to pay for her ring. Yeah, I know that's how you afforded that rent. You were back selling dick.
I sell it in my neighborhood. I don't go on the road to do that.
My other co-host, Derek King, comedian extraordinaire. He's toured and worked with some of the biggest and funniest comedians of our times, and, uh, he is on the road doing his thing now, you know, doing it for yourself now. What's going on?
That's right, minor Sean David Way.
And so, uh, yeah, I have been out there smelling dick in the comedy clubs to pay for that damn engagement ring. Yeah, right.
Well, listen, I, I went to the blood bank 3 times today. I am feeling a little lightheaded.
Listen, listen, so listen, last week it was intense. We had some good, good talent, okay? And so of course all we do is we push them through. And the winos end up voting, okay? And so they ended up voting, and I gotta tell you, they killed it. They took it home. Let's roll some footage to let everybody know what they working with and what they're gonna be up against when it comes to our season finale and some of the talent that they're possibly going to compete against if they make it through the rounds, okay? And so they get to win $300 and a chance to go and kick off our tour with us next year, 2026. And so let's go ahead and take a look at last week's winner.
We were as one, babe, for a moment in time. And it seemed everlasting that you will always be mine.
Now you want to be free, so I'm letting you fly.
'Cause I know in my heart, babe, our love will never die. I know you'll always be a part of me. Part of you indefinitely. Boy, don't you know you can't escape me.
Oh darling, 'cause you'll always be my baby and we'll linger on.
Time can't erase a feeling this strong. Boy, don't you know you can't escape me. Oh darling, 'cause you'll always be my baby.
Competition getting steep.
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do?
You were in their ass last week.
I, I gotta do what I gotta do, okay? This is not for the meek, it's not for the weak, it's for the brave. So you got to be brave coming through here, okay?
True, Derek. Y'all was fighting a lot over talent. I feel like the talent was leverage to get back at each other. When he said no, you said yes. When you said yes, he said no.
This is all because Sean always do that. It don't matter what Which way I go, he gonna go the opposite.
He was being social media gay.
What?
Social media gay.
He's engaged to a woman, so he say he ain't gay no more.
Listen, wait a minute. First off, he was never gay. Let's get that shit understood. They said no more. I don't know what type of shit you want.
Listen, listen, we got these— we got 8 contestants waiting backstage to shoot their shot with us, okay? So we're gonna go ahead and open up the floor, all right? And so, uh, remember, we're Who's going to have the gold card today? I feel like I keep missing that. Like, if there's somebody that you like and two of us say no and you got the gold card, you can send them through. So it's a lucky day. Who should we give it to?
Derek's dumbass has never had the gold card before.
Let's do the gold card. So you know how to work the gold card, right?
I do. But you know what? I damn sure don't want to accept it based on the way you said Derek's dumbass. Hey, Doc, I wanted it so bad. But not that way.
Goddamn, you can have the gold card today, nigga. Okay, so listen to the contestants that are waiting backstage, which means that me and Sean say no and Derek likes you, he can use his gold card to send you through to the last round. And the last round you will compete against each other. Okay, so hold that thought if you make it through. Uh, actually hold your link, don't hold that thought, hold your link. And, uh, even if you don't make it through, hold your link because you want to see who, you know, who the contestants are going to be. And so, um, yeah, y'all ready to you know, for these contestants to shoot their shot.
I'm ready.
All right, let's go. So who we start with? Jasmine? Cheryl, how you doing? Where you calling from, Cheryl? Hello, hello, I'm from Louisiana. Shout out to Louisiana. What kind of camera you got there? You, you holding it on a stick? Yes, this is my laptop. I didn't make it to my destination in time, so I had to pull over. Oh, well, okay. She on a— she mean business. She on the side of the road. So what you gonna be doing today? I'm a songwriter, so I'm gonna be singing a song. Okay, original or original song?
Yes.
All right, so you ready? Go ahead and go shoot your shot. This is to all of the mothers, to all of the mothers, my Mother's Day song. Okay. Now that I'm gone, I wish I were home.
Yes.
With you. Oh, Mama, with you. The touch of your hands. The love in your heart. The tenderness of your hugs. I'm missing your smile. 'Cause I'm thousands of miles away. I wanna come home today. Now you know I can't stay. No, no. All right, I love the vibe, how I was just like snapping with you. All right, Miss Cheryl singing in the car. I'll be singing in the car. We're gonna start with, with Derek. How you doing, Derek? What do you think of Miss Cheryl and her original song piece?
Miss Cheryl, I want to know what part of Louisiana are you from?
Shreveport.
Come on, Shreveport, you right down the street! Let's go, let's go! Let me tell you something, Cheryl, you look sunny, you look lovely, you look like a fresh pot of gumbo.
Y'all make a good girl.
I'm saying I'm saying yes to you, Cheryl, because I love when people do original pieces. It's easy to sing somebody else's song, but can you sing something that your ass wrote? Yeah. Now, I didn't love the song, but I loved your voice. I thought that you have— I think you have a great voice, and you from the Pope City.
Yes, yes. All right, so he said yes, all because you can cook gumbo. So listen, Shawn, what you think of Miss Cheryl?
Driving Miss Cheryl. Um, I would like to say that you are a breath of fresh air. Like, you're adorable.
Adorable.
Was that a Your Mama Dead Too, like, original?
Because that was my song. It's an original song that I wrote for my mom, and she's not dead, she is alive.
Okay, so, so was you saying When I'm Dead and Gone?
No, you want me to sing it again for you?
Oh no, not at all.
Maybe I can say just a little bit more.
Not even a little bit. Let me use my memory, Lord.
Let me try.
Um, so again, adorable, adorable, adorable, but I hated it. Um, the, the tone of the song, it never changed. It was pretty much like on the same wavelength the whole time. Um, I was very sad and disheartened, um, by the track. I would definitely say keep writing. I'm almost finished, y'all. I would definitely say keep writing because the writing is definitely there, but it's gonna be a strong no from me.
Well, I appreciate your strong no.
Absolutely.
I love you.
Thank you so much. Sean, I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm scared to even judge Miss Cheryl because there's trees behind her and I used to get my ass whooped all the time. I used to have to go get my own switches. Get me, bitch, go get your own switches. I'm gonna whoop your motherfucking ass. Sean, baby, wait, let me pick one for you.
Yes.
I was thinking the short ones so you could— All right, Cheryl, I agree. You are a breath of fresh air, adorable. Your smile just kind of exuberates. It just fills the whole room, your energy and everything. But unfortunately, your voice doesn't. I felt like it was a nice tone. I could definitely see you, but what we're looking for on the tour is someone that can really open up a show and show it down, whether it's poetry whether it's, um, acting, whether it's singing. And so it's a no for me, but I still love you. I know I am a whiner, but hey, I came out as a songwriter and not a song, so hopefully someone can hear that I am a writer. I do have wonderful material. So sure, I heard it like that.
Sure.
Damn, I heard it. Shout out to your email where they can buy a song. Hey, hey. Two daughters. She said, I got two. Two. Thank you, Miss Cheryl. Y. I'm coming to Mississippi for My show. I love it. I love you, too. Damn. Jasmine's gonna be dropping them now. Do y' all realize why I said yes now?
Very close to me.
Hey, sean. 2 daughters. She said, I got 2. Thank you, Miss Cheryl. Yes, I'm coming to Mississippi for my show. I love it. I love you too. Damn, Jasmine's gonna be dropping them now.
Do y'all realize why I said yes now? Very close to me. Hey, Sean, she about 45 minutes away from me. And that gang shit is real, and I saw it before you ever saw it. I was just glad you far away.
Shit, Darryl, he had a gold card and he could have used it to save you, girl. He wasn't feeling you like hardcore.
Sean David, wait.
So send your daughters over there if you need to.
What?
I knew you was on.
I never made the gang because one, I could fight, right? But I couldn't learn the sign language.
Oh, I was in a gang called CIA.
I just talk too much, so anytime they— I'll be like, yo, hey, they, they round up taking that shit, and they be like, you supposed to lose sign language, bitch.
Yeah, Tasha, you not gonna make it.
Yeah, ask me what happened. All they got to do is give me some seafood, some crab legs and shit. Oh man, I'll be in there telling on everybody. They put me out the gang real fast. Listen, I'm about 12 years old.
Now you reporting the gang shit.
There you go. Yes, exactly. Who's next? Guy, guy, guy from, um, hey guy, hi guy.
Hey, hi, I'm from London, if that's okay.
You from London on Tasha K? Okay, cool. Put your hair back right here.
My hair was in my face.
Wait, you're from where?
I'm sorry, Mr. Guy, you're from London?
Yeah, I'm from London. How are you guys doing today?
I'm fantastic. I love it. OK, so what are you going to be doing today?
I'm going to be singing for you guys. So hopefully, yeah, singing.
OK, looks like it's already a yes for Sean.
Hell yes, a yes for Sean. You see that shit now.
All right, go ahead, Mr.
Guy.
Go ahead, sing your— shoot your shot.
All right. What would I do with your smart mouth? Draw me in and you're kicking me out. You got my head spinning, no kidding. I can't pin you down. What's going on in that beautiful mind? I'm in your magical mystery ride and I'm so dizzy. Don't know what hit me, but I'll be all right. My head's underwater, but I'm breathing fine. You're crazy and I'm out of my mind, cause all of me lost all of you. Love your—
I wanted to finish here in a high note. Why you— why you had to stop when he was hitting the high note?
Hey, please continue, because— hey, you can say what you want to say, we was ready for that shit to be over with when he started, but go ahead.
I like this. Stop playing. All right, Derek, you give your damn advice first. No, nigga, we said no.
Oh, me?
Thank you, Mr. Guy. Thank you, Derek. That is not how you play the game. You are a hater.
Not no goddamn hater.
Hey, guy, do you have a six-pack and you don't?
That's fine, my six-pack is in the fridge. And so let me ask you a question, y'all. Let me ask you a question. Do you do gymnastics? No, I don't do gymnastics. Like, are you— do you bodybuild? Do you weightlift? Do you do anything like that? No, I just model. You model? Yeah. You should have done that. Okay, do me a favor, walk to that door and then come back and let me see, because it might get you through.
Oh, this is interesting.
Do you feel like walking? Sure. Yeah, walk that way, I can see if you can model.
This is interesting.
Yeah, come on, show us the model walk, brother.
What are you doing here?
What's the model walk? Because that nigga need a different talent. Show us the model walk.
Okay. Front and back.
Fuck no. Fuck no.
All right, go ahead.
And yes, Sean said yes.
The, the opinion of the host. Okay, okay, Mr.
Guy. Mr. Guy, how you doing? Listen, let me tell you something. Sounded like Idris Elba is working for you, but it didn't work to get you through. Uh, I'm going to give a strong London no. Stronger. Hey man, I'm not sure.
Speak like a Londoner.
That's fine. I'm not sure if you even heard you sing, but John Legend was not proud.
He's such a hater. You did all that.
I didn't hear what he said, so it's fine.
Hey, he didn't model for me. He modeled for Sean, and Sean owed me $20 for that shit. Sean, I got you, dog. Dog, hey dog, I got you, dog.
Don't sexually harass for me.
Thanks.
I want to help this man get through.
It's a no for me. What is your critique of this young man?
My critique is I think you do have a voice somewhere in there. I think struggling to get out. And I think that language is a— the language barrier is where you're having a lot of trouble when it comes to breath, you know.
Sorry, I'm seeping out of this. I'm seeping out.
Yeah, that's— I get that, I get that too. But it's like, it's really breathy. Like, it was extremely breathy. Um, but other than that, like, there is definitely a voice in there, but like singing in English is the pronunciation of words. So that's where I feel like you kept getting cut off at. I really want to say yes to you, but I feel like it would be me being biased because I feel like you're attractive. So, um, so I'm going to say no just because it was extremely breathy. So I would say, okay, when you sing songs in English, just make sure you're pronunciating the word, like say the word before you sing the word, so then it'd be a little easier to, you know, roll off the tongue. But there is a voice in there, so it's a no for me for now, but practice and come back. I think you should come back.
Back.
All right, cool.
All right, Mr. Guy, I am so sorry that my, my, my—
oh no, it's fine, it's fine.
Showing the asses today.
I mean, Derek asked me and you said he's not gay no more, so I mean, hey, hey, God, Derek ain't never been gay. Cut that no more shit out. Latasha can play like that. I knock that goddamn cap off your head, Guy.
Okay, it's the— we are kind, Derek.
We have guests in the house, Derek. Okay, you just proposed to your wife, we know that.
Yeah, but I'm just saying, all this old gay no more shit, y'all don't know me like that though.
I mean, but you dragged him, you made this man walk across the room.
I was trying to see if he had another talent because singing damn sure wasn't it.
Oh God, did he do anything personally to you?
Hell no. That's what I'm trying to figure out. What Sean talking about? There's a voice in there?
Where?
Sean bullshit, man. Sean say, and I think it's because you're extremely attractive. Out of here.
I did not say extremely.
Don't do that. Got to hear the thing. You need to keep modeling. You probably look good on that stage. Keep doing that, man. But damn sure stop singing.
Move this man for a second. Let me say my piece, because you, y'all move your ass up after he leave. I promise. Matter of fact, I'm gonna talk to your wife to get in your ass. I'm gonna tell her don't cook. I'm gonna tell her don't cook for your bitch ass. That's exactly what I'm gonna tell her. Don't fix you now plate no T-bone, no nothing, no pork chop, bitch, nothing.
Hey, Tasha, hurry up.
Mr. Guy, you can sing, okay? You can sing. You just need practice, okay? And I think with the— with a voice coach, you'll learn better breath control. And you'll be able to kill the song more. You have a big voice. I can tell you are very marketable. So you have a nice look, but you do need some more training. And so if you can get with an online voice coach and come back, we have a lot more episodes that we're filming. You can blow it out of the park. Okay? So don't be nervous. Okay? You gonna come back?
I'll check.
I'm checking.
You gonna come back?
Uh, oh, absolutely, absolutely. I'll take, I'll take your advice on board.
Thank you so much. And when I come to London with the tour, I'mma put his ass in a room. You bring your, your, your guys and beat this, okay? We gonna set his ass up. Bitch gonna be in a room after he done working, and then we gonna set y'all ass up in there like, bitch. Okay, thank you so much, Mr. Guy.
Thank you, thank you.
Okay, bye-bye.
All right, this might—
he might possibly have been the worst singer we've ever had, and YouTube is over here like, I think there's a voice in there.
No, it was just really breathy. It really was. It was extremely—
no, here's the thing, I'm not even a fan of John Legend, but if you can nail John Legend's voice Like, he has a voice. That's like saying Tony Braxton.
Yes, it's, it's there. It's just struggling.
He needs to be trained.
Hey, I wish he would have put a shirt on and y'all wouldn't have said that shit.
If he would have had a shirt on, it had nothing to do with that. He's not even my type.
Okay, maybe not for you, but for this nigga over here with this hat on, I have taste.
And then second of all, He— you can hear it, like it's in him. Like, if it's— what would I do without your smart mouth? Like, he, he's too— he just needed to go up a little bit more and stop. It's in there though.
Y'all funny as hell. Hell no, that nigga was terrible.
Who's next? I think this was jealous of his chest.
Me too.
I think he's the next. He can move his chest up and down. And you can't— your stomach only moves up and down when you, when you walking.
Y'all kiss my ass.
We won't do it at the same time. It's bigger than me.
Who's that? Elsa, how you doing? Elsa, where you from?
Um, I guess you could say Las Vegas. Hey, Tasha, I love you. You're amazing.
Thank you, you're so gorgeous.
Oh, thank you.
Yes.
So I'm nervous.
It's okay. What are you going to be doing today?
Um, today I'm gonna sing a song by Tink. It's called Treat Me Like Somebody. So yep.
Okay, okay, I remember that song. Go ahead. Okay.
Somebody real hard to find, somebody worth all your time, somebody who can— oh, I forgot. Hold a second, let me, let me do it again.
Keep going, you got 45 seconds, you good.
Somebody real hard to find, somebody worth all your time, somebody who can treat you— damn, I forgot the song. I'm so sorry, Tasha.
I don't know what happened. Forgot the song.
I don't know why, but I am.
Maybe we'll just set the phone down.
You said set the phone down?
Okay, okay. All right, take a deep breath. It's okay, okay. You better not whistle.
Close your eyes and just sing.
Close your eyes.
All right, maybe I'll sing Love by Keisha Cole.
Go.
Okay. I used to think that I wasn't fine enough, and I used to think that I wasn't white enough. But I won't— damn, I can't. Sorry.
Oh, you're so cute.
You actually sound really good. I just want to know— I don't know why.
It's crazy because I love to sing. Stop moving the phone.
You're holding the phone. You got to use your body when you sing.
The thing is, is because I don't have the stand, so I'm holding my phone.
It's okay, set it down on the table. Set it down on the counter. Okay, can you see me now? Yep, I can see you. You ready? Yeah, go.
Okay, let me sing. Okay. I used to think that I wasn't fine enough, and I used to think that I wasn't white enough, but I won't— damn, sorry. What's that?
Okay, okay, all right, all right, Alisa, good job. Thank you for pushing through.
Thank you.
Nerves, okay. You know how many times I don't been on stage and I ran off to the back ready to throw up, shit myself, and I get my ass right back on stage and keep it going? No one ever know that I was I swear to God, I'll be like, goddamn it, I'm nervous as fuck. And every time I get nervous, I gotta shit. It's really bad. It's really bad. Nerves can kick your ass, okay? Derek never shits when he's on stage. I'm sorry, I had to get you back for Mr. Guy, Derek. I had to. That was a jab for Mr. Guy, okay? All right, so, um, you can unmute Derek now. I can't hear him.
I wasn't saying that. I wasn't saying that.
Okay, we're gonna start with Sean. Okay, let's go, Sean.
No, I would have to say, um, look-wise, aesthetically, I think you would be great, like, for singing and all that good stuff. You're definitely easy on the eyes, all that good stuff. But it's the nerves. If you can't control your nerves, then your talent is hidden, you know. You have to be able to control those nerves. It's not easy to do. Like, it's easier said than done, you know, because you're just singing in front of 3 people. Magic on a tour, singing in front of, you know, hundreds, you know, of people, and they're all staring at you, you know, waiting for you to belt that out. So we have to be— especially Tasha— we have to be confident, you know, you going on stage, being able to deliver. And every time, just because you do it the show night 1 doesn't mean that you're going to feel the same way night 2, you know. So that's what I say, you got to definitely— the singing is there, I certain— you have a certain tone to your voice, so picking certain songs. But, um, yeah, work on those nerves. So as of now, I'm gonna say no because of the nerve thing, but if you can get that under control, I definitely think you could go somewhere.
Yeah.
All right, Derek, how you doing?
Let me get right to it. I'mma be square with you, man. It was so irritating to have you start over again like that, like it was irritating. It was irritating. Now listen, it was irritating because you sound so damn good and then you keep going, what's wrong, I can't think. You too good for that. I'm telling you yes because you can damn sure sing. But Sean ain't lying, man. Yo, what, what you gonna do if you out there on tour and you got thousands of people out there looking at you? Hey man, get that together because you can damn sure sing. So yes, but goddamn, you irritating. That was irritating. You too, you too goddamn cute to be that damn irritating, bro. Like, that's just ridiculous.
But yes, I know I normally don't even get dark. You ain't clean this room. You don't brought in here all else and shit like that. You can buy you this fucking PlayStation, but try me again, bitch.
I had the fuss.
All right, Elisa— I, uh, Elsa. Shit, my bad.
It's okay, Tasha.
I'm so sorry. Gorgeous, beautiful smile, everything. Skin is on point, hair is on point, everything. Um, the confidence. You got the voice. The confidence. You sing, uh, Keisha Cole's song better than she's singing.
Damn, thank you.
Yes, she don't fucking sing. She confident. I was like, who gave this bitch a record deal? Oh dang, she's gorgeous. But she— it's the confidence, it's the swag, it's the meaning behind her voice. Because when she was in— I was like, what the hell? And it's like telling Sexy Red she can rap, you know, confidence. So like, um, yeah, it's, it's gonna be a no for me for confidence. But golden ticket time! Oh shit, he's sending you through to the end.
Okay, hey, listen, cut my golden ticket if you want to, I'm gonna roast your ass.
I won't.
Damn, I swear to God, I'm gonna roast shit out you like your name was Mr. Guy.
Oh my God. So listen, stay backstage. You're gonna have somebody that you're gonna compete against, and you guys will sing, and then the winos will do the voting at the end. So just stay backstage and get a song, learn that song, okay? Okay. All right, let's go. Thank you guys. I do it. Shit. Okay, Jasmine, know my drink, it's tequila. All right, let's go.
We had to push somebody through, y'all. We done got to— that was 3 people and we ain't said yes to nobody.
Not you.
Well, she was the third.
She was the third. That's what I'm saying. We gotta— we had to say yes. Some— and she can actually sing, so I'm not shitting, you know what I'm saying?
Like, we got one person.
Mr. Guy can sing too.
Yeah, I can't say.
So I think we should push Mr. Guy through, but it's all good.
You ever heard a cat get ran over? That's how I guess. Sound like a cat getting run over by a dump truck.
Who? I Grew Too Smooth. I Grew Too Smooth. How you doing?
Hi.
Are you from London as well? Are you from the UK as well?
No, no, I'm from, uh, Los Angeles.
Oh, okay. I thought I heard the, you know, the UK accent. Okay, so, uh, from Los Angeles. What are you gonna be doing today?
Uh, dancing.
Oh, okay, gotcha. I— first dancer. Okay, what kind of dancing you going to be doing? No, I'll let you surprise us. Go ahead, do your thing. All right. Oh, you hear that? Yep. Okay, all right, all right. All right, I Grew Too Smooth is our first dancer. I really thought she was gonna be like one of them dancers that Diddy— uh, I interviewed regarding Diddy, Rico, and them guys. I, I didn't know what type of dancer to expect, so I'm glad that you kept it cute, because I would— if you didn't, I would have hired you for my birthday bash. But you know, just stay focused, Sean.
I was pleasantly surprised. I was ready to roast down. It was definitely giving Omarion, uh, when it first started off. It was definitely giving that. But honestly, I liked it.
I was—
I'm not disappointed. And this is one of our first dancers, so— and it takes way more confidence to dance. So again, like singing, rapping, that stuff, this is walking apart. Comedy and stuff— comedy and dancing I think it's two of the hardest things to try to get through. Um, doing so, I enjoyed it, so I'm gonna say yes just because I want to see you come back. I was—
okay, okay, great, great. So that's— you got one yes. Derek King.
Hey Groove, what's your— what's your favorite movie, brother? My favorite move? Movie. No, I didn't say move, I said movie. What's your favorite movie?
Oh, movie. Movie.
Uh, Endgame. I thought you're gonna say Stump the Yard. You was giving Stump the Yard, and so I, I could see you in that Stump the Yard going back to hit on the— yeah, I'm saying yes because shit, you the first dancer we done had and I thought you did good. Uh, thank you. Yeah, I thought you did good. I don't, I don't know if you were that confident, but I thought you did good.
Okay.
Um, my confidence is at about like 6, 7. Yeah, it need— and it needs to be at a 10. Square business. Damn.
Goddamn. Thank you. Shit, Derek.
You're welcome, sir.
All right. Uh, you got 2 yes. So is it a yes or a no for you? Okay, so yeah, everything else I couldn't even get it. Okay, so it's a no for me, but it doesn't matter because they already said yes. And here's why it's a no for me. I just didn't see the confidence. Like, when people— I love to watch dancers. I watch a lot of, uh, dance schools on YouTube, and I'm telling you, like, I could see a good dancer versus someone who is, you know, just kind of not all the way in tune with themselves. And I felt like maybe you was a little shy, and it kind gave, get your ass up and come dance with me at 3 o'clock in the morning. And then your mama drug you out of bed and you dance. But it was good dancing. But I want to— you, you in LA, like, I want to see the crumping. I want to see the, you know, the, you know, just— I really want to see you moving, you know what I'm saying? And so can you backflip and all that shit too?
Backflip? I'm working on that.
Okay. All right. So you gotta learn how to do that now if you're gonna dance. You gotta work on that. You gotta, you gotta get some gymnastics going. So like, it's a no for me, but they sent you through and it's up to the winos now. Um, but like I said, um, I just feel like you just need to practice more. Okay, so we'll see you at the end of the show. It's up to the winos. Okay, okay, thank you. All right, all right, let's go.
Latasha, you ever heard people say that somebody look easy to draw? That nigga look easy to draw, man. He ain't got no nothing on his face to say, man, there's gonna be a challenge.
I mean, one thing I will say about that, I would agree, facial expressions is everything in dancing. So it's like, if you're not giving confidence in your face, like, you gotta sell what you are doing.
So yeah, I asked that, what was his favorite movie? The nigga said, not your favorite move. 'Cause even if this is your favorite move, this ain't it.
For hours and watch videos of the dancing schools where they'll actually be practicing and stuff. And I'll see like Chris Brown go in there and they'll perform for him. They'll have different artists go in there and they really be like giving it they all dancing. I'm like, yo, it's a, it's a whole art.
And that would have been out of there on the first 8 count. 5, 6, 7, 8. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Number 6, you're out.
But you said dip through. Okay, cool. Teresa, how you doing? Teresa? Great. Hey, where you calling from, Miss Teresa?
I'm in, um, Bloomfield, Connecticut.
So what you gonna be doing today, Miss Teresa?
I'm doing original, um, spoken word with a little, um, singing to it.
Okay, well, go ahead, uh, shoot your shot.
I remember the time, a long time ago, the only job I could get was washing other folk clothes. We've come a long way. Okay, I thank the Lord. I remember the times when I would watch TV, just see Nobody else that looked like me except a slave, a maid, or a tall skinny butler. I remember the time that if I needed a ride, had to get on the back of the bus or they would skin my hide. We've come a long way.
Yes.
I thank the Lord as I stood in the voting line on Super Tuesday waiting to vote for Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. It brought tears to my eyes as I thought of the lives that were lost, both Black and white, that I might have the right to stand in this line. The lady gave me my voting paper. I filled in my little dot, placed my paper in the slot. I had no fear when I left there that I'd be beaten or shot. You know, back in the day, there were lines and signs all over the place, even on the water fountains. Whites drink here, Blacks drink there. Don't mix it up, gal. Don't you dare. And oh, if that Black man fell in love with that white woman, you better not tell nobody. If you want to stay alive. And Black mommies and daddies taught their little Black children, when you're speaking to the white man, stare at the ground, you don't want to die. Oh, and then my people got to the place when they said, we have had enough, and they began to fight for their rights and the rights of their children and grandchildren. But oh, who can forget Dr. Martin Luther King? He had a dream, a dream he was willing to die for, a dream that we would not be judged by the color of our not by the color of our skin, but by the content of our character. But can you believe 50-plus years later we still march to prove that Black lives matter, all lives matter? We've come a long way.
I thank the Lord.
Come on now. Come on now.
All right, I want to start with Char. Miss Theresa, wow. Char.
Derek, you are so annoying. Teresa, that was wonderful. It was from beginning to end. It was beautiful. Like, I— it was moving. Like, I can't— I moved. Like, I'm glad we can let you go the whole time. I didn't want you to stop. So you just said some really beautiful things. That was a beautiful spoken word, and you actually had a cute little hymn to you, girl. So like, the voice wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed it, like, the whole thing. So I'm going to have to say a super yes.
I loved it. I love that. Yeah, Derek, what's going on?
I'm gonna tell you, Miss Teresa, my imagination while you were, uh, singing and doing, uh, the spoken word, my imagination took me to a place of wondering if you would make a great fit out on tour. And let me just tell you, it is an absolute yes. You will make a great fit out on tour. I could just see you opening up every show, and it makes people want to tune in and just listen. You have a voice that makes people want to listen. So for me, it is an absolute yes, Miss Teresa. I was really ready to, to be like, man, I got to, I got to say, give a sympathetic yes. No, no, no. You earned every bit of this. Yes.
So thank you, Miss Teresa. You got two yeses. And so listen, have you been singing your whole life and doing spoken word like this? Yeah.
Yes, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a writer. And I wrote that song when Obama became president back in 2008.
That is dope. That is dope. Okay, listen, it is a definite yes for me. It was powerful, it was confident, it was on point. It had me in it like, yes, yes. So listen, you got 3 yeses. We're gonna send you to the, to the finale, to the finals at the end of the show, and then you're gonna perform again, like either that piece or another piece, and the winos will vote to see who will win the $300 and who will move on to our season finale. Um, to go on to compete, to go on tour with us. But I absolutely see you on stage, especially with your own band. Yes, ma'am.
Thank you.
I love it. I love it. We'll see you at the end of the show. Hold back. Damn, she really like came through and put it down.
I'm trying to figure out how did I get on Sean's nerves whenever I'm just here.
Because you putting your hand up, all of that. Put your big-ass arm down. Yeah, you, you ain't got to do all that. Just—
Mr.
Reese said we come along You see that movie, you're like, you just so moved.
Hey, I can't be part of the damn movement, brother.
You cannot.
It's people like you to keep us back, Sean. And see, you the reason why we stay back. You ain't trying to help us progress. I'm over here fighting with Miss Teresa and you trying to fight against us. Sean, you wrong. Sean, who's next?
These two brothers fighting and shit.
Dr. Umar ain't proud of you, man.
Did you see Dr. Umar drag one of his side bitches today?
He called that bitch Listen, my son was showing it to me.
I put out the 1-0 number. I said, bitch, you need to call me. He calling you the Throat Goat. He read that bitch down, said her first and last name and everything.
Yeah, because he— yeah, hey, listen, they make you go there now.
Oh, you know, let's go, let's go. How you know they'll make you go there?
You don't have no more side who's showing them out the game. I'm out the game. I'm out the game. Think I'm still paying for that ring, nigga? I'm out the game.
What you say then?
Nothing. I'm out the game. I'm out the motherfucking game.
They make you do that. Call that bitch the throat goat. I said, what's— okay, who's next, Jasmine?
Who's next? Good advertisement.
Let's talk about student loan discharges in bankruptcy. Most people will tell you it's impossible. Even bankruptcy attorneys will tell you that. But guess what? Oh, um, you are here, not that you want to be here, okay, but you're having to come out and clear your name. You are the ex-husband into Kelli Forreal, season 16's newest Real Housewife of Atlanta. OK. And interesting enough, you guys, like, have a court order. You're not even supposed to be talking about your marriage or divorce or anything.
It's a gag order that we're not supposed to be talking about it.
Now we're going to talk about, like, how did you get here? Because you done lost everything. You lost the marriage. How the hell did you go from $2 million a year to you're trying to pay child support and can't pay it because money is being frozen and held.
For all this, everything I'm telling you right now happened before the divorce.
Everything happened before the divorce.
Was there any marital issues between you two? Like, did you guys— were there any infidelities that you know about?
No abuse, no infidelity, nothing like that. All that stuff I'm hearing she's saying on TV is for ratings.
Like what?
I heard she say I was abusive.
Lies.
Um, infidelity, lies.
How does this happen?
That's right, it's against the law.
What happened to me, she said she went on national TV and said I said I was going to kill her, right?
And I didn't say that. When they was handcuffing me, I was walking out the courtroom and I said, I got you.
I said, it's messed up. I told—
I was telling her and her family, right? You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
So it's like, like I said, I was a very private person. I was nowhere on social media. I wasn't on, uh, Google, none of that.
And because of this show, my life is destroyed.

Okay, you look gorgeous. Uh, so where you calling from? Let me guess, New York, Jersey. Oh, well, shit, I give up. Cleveland? Yeah, really? Okay, you give it all New York, New Jersey right now.
Thank you, thank you.
Especially with the pic in the fro, you know. I'm a soul sister.
Um, thank you for having me.
I'm a big fan. Thank you, Sean Baby Wade.
I watch all your stuff, Derek. So thank you guys for having me.
So what you gonna be doing today? Anytime.
Um, I, I sing and I write, so I'm going up the first one. If I make it to the next round, I'm gonna do, um, a little bit of, uh, some bars in this one.
Okay, well go ahead and shoot your shot, y'all.
People be nervous, so for everybody who needed to take a deep breath, just take it.
All right.
I'm breathing, I'm breathing with my head underwater. I'm breathing, I'm breathing, I'm breathing with my head underwater. I'm breathing, I'm leaving, I'm leaving all my cares on the altar. I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving all my prayers on the altar. I'm leaving Heaven sent, hell-bent, it's evident. I think game up, but I'm celibate. Won't bring your name up to be relevant. I'd rather wake up in your residence. I'd rather play tough than be laid out and played up on t-shirts. They name lust, this pain cuts the deepest.
They blame us.
I'm chained up with secrets. I'm brain dead to TV violence, tone deaf to the sound of war. To move in silence proves I live what I fight for. Won't you shut the door, leave the devil in the night? Light the handles everything is all right. You with the program? Let's do a rom-com, more like a sci-fi, about me riding around with Cupid doing drive-bys. Pull up on that West Side by all them Trump signs, hit you with a headshot for the apartheid, probably get a Pulitzer Prize and a dope ride, holiday or a statue in my hometown, 'cause I made the struggle fine like a ball gown. I walk around with my smile upside down, Getting tall on the ball, but y'all might drown. Tiptoes on the ground, better pipe down, 'cause right now I'm trying to be a chain breaker in the psych out. I'm breathing, I'm breathing with my head under water. I'm breathing, I'm breathing, I'm breathing with my head under water. I'm breathing, I'm leaving, I'm leaving all my cares on the altar. I'm leaving, I'm leaving, I'm leaving all my prayers on the altar. I'm Lee.
All right, wow, that's called Breathing.
It's original.
All right, all right. So, uh, Sean, we'll start with you. Great performance.
I love your look. Okay, let's just start like, I love everything about your look. Like, I, I, from— I have no complaints. Like, I love everything about your look. Now, when it comes to your talent talent. It is so original. I'm like picturing like beats and stuff in the back to go along to like what you are doing. You are very confident in what you do. You could tell you were nervous, but you are confident like in what you do. I can see you engaging an audience and people just being intrigued because I'm intrigued. I would love to hear more. So it's a strong yes for me. I love from the look, the vocals. I'd love to hear you rap like alone, like individually, but overall I really liked it. I really did.
Yes, amazing.
I'm liking, I'm liking, I'm liking what I hear tonight. I'm liking, I'm like, listen, you were good. Tasha, don't do that shit because see, I feel like you hating on the fact that I'm giving props to Sadhu. So Sadhu, I do for you. Hell yeah. So, Sadu, listen, this is the thing. The originality tonight is really impressing me because there are people that are doing things that we have not seen on here before. You— I mean, it's— this is probably— this is my favorite show so far just because of how original people are. There are people that— it's so easy to do other people's work and so difficult to believe in who you are. You believe in who you are. You're—
I—
this is gonna be a hell of a finals tonight. Based upon people's originality. So strong yes for me, Sadu. Thank you for coming through.
Yes, thank you, thank you.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. Cleveland, stand up. Um, I gotta tell you, everything is on brand. Is that your real afro?
It is, because a wig would be too hot. It would be just too hot for a wig like this.
On brand. Everything is on brand. You gave me everything of like flowetry. You gave me some Lauryn Hill, you gave me, um, some Arrested Development, all of that. I love it. It's a yes for me. Hold back. You're gonna perform at the end of the show. It's some tough competition because everybody is original tonight.
Yeah, we definitely do.
Okay, all right, anytime.
Damn, I loved her.
You want to know what would be dope? That regardless of what happens with this show or the tour, her and Mother Teresa need to get together. Their voices together would make magic.
I could definitely see them headlining a neo-soul, like, kind of—
yeah, I could see her making a track with Guy, which—
you talking about the group?
Because he has a very soulful voice. He does.
Yeah, he does.
Y'all are on that shit. That boy sound like it's a bullfrog in his throat.
At least he's trying to get it out.
He wasn't trying hard.
Who's next? Hi, Bro Bay! How you doing, Bro Bay? Where you calling from? Greetings from the motherland, live from Lagos. Happy anniversary, Tasha! You look like you can cook your ass off, I ain't gonna lie. I got them arms, them swinging up.
I want your food.
Jollof rice is— yeah, actually, I'm, I'm Ghanaian. I'm in Lagos, but I'm Ghanaian. So yes, our jollof rice is superior, darling. Okay, but you grew up in the UK? Yeah, born in London. Yeah, I actually moved to Lagos because of you, Tasha. Why? Oh my God, uh, I don't want to get emotional, but I really love you and I study you. And, um, as I was starting to take my music career seriously, I was a bit of a crossroad. And at that time, that's when I started following you and consuming your content. And I thought, you know what, let me go to Nigeria. So I just got on the bus. I'd never been here before, and I just came and had faith. And that was 2 years ago. And by the grace of God, it's going really, really well. And that's just like 1% of the story. There's so much to tell you, but you're amazing. You inspire me. I love you. Thank you. Thank you. I love to see it. I'm inspiring people globally. Okay, I love it. I love it. So what you gonna be doing today? Obviously you are a songwriter. Yes, I'm a songwriter, so I'm going to be, um, singing and rapping. Okay, like we're getting a lot of stuff tonight. I'm loving it. Let's go, brobie, let's go. Okay. Yo, no matter what them say, God there with us. Enemies need to back up. Don't play with us. Whenever I feel my back up, in God I trust. We may fall but get back up. Shake off the dust, watch me shine. It will fall into place, it just takes time. Fortune narrate, focus and grind. By his grace, we all go rise. Yeah, it go better someday, it go better. Take all the bad energy, go far away. Wow. It go better someday, take all the bad energy, go far away. Wow, wasn't stopped. Hey, I can keep going. Yo, freestyle. Should I keep going? All right, we'll start with Sean first. What you think of Brobee? I love the name Brobee.
Latasha.
Yes.
No.
You're an asshole.
Why?
Elaborate. Why? Sure.
Um, I love her. I love her energy, but it gives playful. Like, it doesn't give like, I'm serious about this. Like, it just gives like, I'm about to have a good time, you know, and enjoy myself, which was cute, you know, definitely was. Is, but I feel like it would be unfair to like the people that like are eating for this, like really using this opportunity to try to get themselves out there. So it just doesn't seem like you're taking this like real serious.
That's how—
that's—
I agree with that because that's 100% nerves. Yeah, it's absolutely not true, but that's how my nerves manifest.
Yeah, I, I, I, I love the interview though. Great interview.
Thank you.
Yes, but it's still a no.
Yes.
Okay. All right.
Uh, Derek, let me ask you a question. How do you say fuck you, Sean David Wade, in, in Brit?
Well, we would just do the Jamaican way. Go suck your mother.
Go suck your mother then, Sean.
Yeah, go suck your mother. I'm gonna use that on the show.
Let me tell you something. See, see, Sean wanted— he wanted his way. He called that— let me tell you why I say that. The first woman that came on, you too depressing. Now you, you seem to— that I love your energy. I didn't see the nerves. I saw happiness. I saw joy. You're joyful about being around somebody who inspired your whole life.
I love Tasha. You don't understand. I'm even—
I'm fighting back.
Yes, I do understand. I do under— don't fight back to tears. Let them flow. Let the tears come out. I want to see them. It is a yes for me because I love you. I saw, I heard your voice. I love the singing. Dry your eyes. Go suck your mother. Dry your eyes.
Okay, that's not how you're supposed to use that, Derek.
But my bad, my bad. But let me tell you something, bro.
Babe, you're so— you—
oh, my bad, my bad. I mean that, bro. Babe, Bro, babe, you are one— I wish I could hug you right now. You are amazing. Oh, hell yeah! Hell yeah, baby!
Why are you crying? Because you mean so much to me.
I'm just so happy I didn't cry before because I would get your asthma pump.
You're literally the reason why I'm here. Like, so, like, I mean, I want to get through, but even if I don't, like, for me to even— You're going through, you're going through. Yes, for me, you gave me chills. Yeah, come on through. But even the confidence to apply and to even perform, like, I could just see, like, how God has really used you to impact my life. But you'll see it one day. I'll be able to tell my story properly. But Tasha, okay, God bless you. And cover you and keep going because you're helping a lot of us Black women. You don't know, but a lot of us look up to you and we need you. We need you. Thank you. Thank you. You are gorgeous. I love the energy. I love everything. The smile, it was very happy. It reminded me— I cannot think of the name of the song now. Um, it's a gospel song and it's an African song. Jerusalem. Oh, okay, maybe I hear it. Jerusalem. Hold on, hold on for a second.
I thought you was talking about that song.
Why? So when you— no, no, no, hold on, hold on. I'm gonna get this song. I'm gonna get this. I'm a piano South African thing. Jerusalem. Yes, hold on, hold on real quick. I'm gonna get this song. It's called Jerusalem. And it's a woman. Hold on, Jerusalem. Jerusalem. Hold on, Master KG. Master KG, hold on, it's almost here. I, I don't pay for the YouTube. This one, you know this. Yeah, yeah. I was like, oh shit, you ain't never heard that one, Derek? Jerusalem. I don't know, I don't know. That's all right, that's what you gave me, so it's a hell yeah. Go ahead, we'll see you at the end of the show. It's up to the Winos. You got some competition now, but even if you don't make it through, please come back for a different competition. You may— I mean, different, uh, segment. You may, uh, make it through. You're doing it. It was amazing. Okay, thank you. Oh yeah, and the song I sung is available on streaming platforms. You can just— I need that link. Can you email it to me on wowwithtashk@gmail.com? I will too. I will. Okay, please. Thank you. All righty, bye. See you at the end. Don't go nowhere, don't go nowhere, stay here.
Hey, Tasha, I've never wanted to tell a guest I love you before so much as I want to tell Latasha. Damn, her energy was everything.
It was everything. You know what my son did the other day? I put on, I put on an African song. He in the back seat to my Africa.
Yes, yes.
He was like, come on, let me take—
that is my favorite style of dance, African dance. I watch Afrobeats and people dance all day.
Let me ask you a question, Sean. Is it because they feel the beat and it's not like it's something choreographed?
Is it honestly the moves that they do? They look so simple. But they're not. But it's like how they move their bodies and how certain parts of their body will like be more like— especially women, like a part of them jiggling and their body be doing something completely— it's like, how do you do that?
And the instruments make you— it's like a different style of instruments too, where it just makes you just want to dance. Like, as soon as that beat come on, you like, you just sitting there in the seat like, it makes you want to dance. I love it.
It was everything.
Damn, she's got to cook for me. I know she makes some strong jollof. I ain't lying, I'm hungry. Who's next? Krishana, how you doing?
Krishana, I'm good.
All right, where are you calling from?
Chi-Town.
Shout out to Chicago. What you gonna be doing? Um, I, I do write songs and rap a little bit, but I just want to to sing a song that I love and spread a little love today. Okay, well, go ahead and sing. Let me see what you're working with.
Oh, can I use an instrumental?
We're not allowed to use music. You got to do a cappella so we can see the real thing. Okay, okay, sorry. Okay, you ready? All right.
If you found another boo, what could I do? If she loves you truly, how could I not love her to. If she improves you more than I used to, I don't want nothing but you getting what you need, even if it ain't from me, because I love you. And what love be Never selfish and of service, 'cause I love you and what love is. Never selfish and on purpose.
Wow. All right. We gonna start with Sean. Sean, I did not— I, I'm, I'm just gonna hold my thoughts to the end. I was shocked, I ain't gonna lie. Go ahead, Sean.
So tonight is really annoying because there has been some real talent coming through here. Yeah, it, it has been some real talent, and Chicago never disappoints, so Love your voice. I want to hear you sing a 702 song so bad. Um, but I, I love your voice. Yeah, like, we have to have some really good people come through tonight, and you did not disappoint. So— and I love your name, by the way. So I'm going to say yes. Like, I love the tone, I love the confidence.
You—
I love how you are— you're not breathy, you don't want to release the note, you don't want to hold it, you know. I love loved it. So yeah, yes for me.
Oh my God, that means a lot. That means a lot.
Okay, Derek, you put a little too much on it just then, but let me ask you a question. Are you wearing shoes? No.
Are you?
Bitch, I can't— I didn't— I was not calling you a bitch, Miss Hester. I was, I was just speaking out loud.
Go ahead.
Listen, as much as I love your voice, right now you're dressed like a free woman on the movie 12 Years a Slave. That's what I see. You're like a free woman, but you damn sure sound good. Goddamn, your free ass, your free ass, you sound good. I just want to hear you hum one time. Can you hum? Yeah, you just— all right, they're right there. You just need a basket on your goddamn head. Yes.
Don't sleep, because I can switch it up. I definitely can put a foot— a fit together in a look. I'm a mom and I'm at home, but I definitely can put a look together. I definitely—
I believe your talent was enough, Christian.
Yeah, she give it— she giving free slay, but yes.
Okay, um, am I saying Christiana? Okay, I ain't gonna lie, when you came up here and you was looking down, you weren't giving no eye contact, and you were talking, it was kind of like— imagine me doing this. I just want you to know this, right? Imagine me saying, yeah, how y'all doing? Why knows what's going on, y'all good? All right. So yeah, I get it. What does that say about my body language?
I'm distracted or not tuned in.
Lacking confidence.
Right.
But when you started to sing, I said, damn, like, we got to— like, we have to push you through. But, okay, I could tell this. You sing, you know you can sing. It's sort of like you're one of those type where people will be like, oh man, you know, everybody's out here like, yeah, yeah, I got it, I got it. And then you off in a corner somewhere and they be like, well, who wants to sing? You sing and you just blow the shit out. And you like, where did this bitch come from? Like, you gotta own it. You gotta own it. It ain't got nothing to do with your looks. Look, nothing. You just got— it's the confidence. You gotta own it. Now, I ain't gonna lie, it did shock us, so it was a good setup. Because I'm gonna be honest with you, I was like, she finna waste our time, this lady ain't confident, what the hell going on? But then, like, you really blew it away. And yes, I could see her definitely blowing up 702 songs real easy. So, um, it's gonna be a yes for me. However, You got that confidence, got to be— you Chicago? Yeah, I own that shit, you know what I'm saying? Like Chicago, like, yeah. All right, you from where my favorite inmate is from.
Your favorite inmate?
R. Kelly.
Okay, all right, I get it.
You don't even call him R. Kelly no more. I'm gonna start reciting his, his inmate Oh girl.
Oh wow, that's just something wrong with you.
It's a yes for me. Thank you. We'll see you. Hold back.
Okay.
Damn, it's deep today. What did y'all do?
It was like, what did we pick, like 5 people out of 8? Hey, let me tell you something. This is the best. This is the most talented show we've had.
Goddamn, what the fuck we gonna do? Because we're only supposed to pick 4.
I say let them all try.
6.
Oh, we picked 6?
We could pick 6.
I don't even think it's fair to them because they're all talented except—
no, 2 of them gotta go.
No, the— okay, then bye Dancing Machine.
Listen, I love her to death, she's gorgeous. Your gold card gotta go. She ain't got the confidence yet. No, not use my goddamn gold card to get somebody She couldn't even remember the words. Smash that bitch.
Fuck that. Put this little guy—
no, I believe— so do you want him to be the second one?
Because two gotta go.
She can sing, but her confidence is not there. I think she should come on another show.
It's just the best singer today.
It's not fair that other people can remember. I love that. No, she wasn't.
She was not the best singer today.
Bring Elsa back up here.
Elsa.
Oh, hey Elsa, gorgeous. Okay, beautiful. Skin is on point, everything. Do you— I just want to hear from Elsa. Elsa, you heard the other talent.
Yes.
What do you think we should do?
Are you ready to go up against them?
Oh yeah, for sure.
Let's hear it right now then. Shit.
So I'm gonna sing a song by Alicia Keys.
Just sing before you—
okay, all right, all right.
Baby, baby, baby, from the dance on you, I really, really want to catch your eye. Goddamn, something about you, 'cause I must really like you.
I told y'all.
Goddamn.
And I would—
shit. Stop, girl.
All right, all right.
You can't hear, I know that much.
Goddamn, I can't even send her home, Sean. I don't know what we're gonna do.
I love you.
I can't even do it.
I told you she could damn say—
you can say— we know that, but you didn't have the confidence. And I was just like, is she ready? Yes.
I don't know what happened, but for some odd reason I couldn't remember the lyrics.
I'm like, how did you go take a shot of tequila like I told you? It came back I think it's just because I'm—
I don't know, it's because of you, you know. But normally I know my lyrics and stuff.
But was she gonna be at all the shows? I mean, it can't be because of her. It's gonna be the Tasha K Presents Tour performance.
I'll be backstage dealing with my own shit, you understand. But, um, I can't send her. I can't. This is the devil's work.
Damn, this is our best.
Why can't y'all send her home?
Home.
Take her down, take her down, take her down, please.
Elsa, you staying, you staying, Elsa.
Okay, thank you, Tasha.
You're welcome. She, she really did come back and blow it. And then I like the confidence. She was like, oh yeah, I can go up against them, baby, baby, baby, do it. Like, shit.
Immediately.
All right, our last person is back. Sierra.
I hope you ain't worth a damn.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, let me pull over.
Look, I was— you know what, y'all, I had— it was a lot going on. I had to pick up the baby, I was washing clothes, I was doing a lot all at once. I'm just gonna pull it on over. You a singer, DJ, radio host, trucker? You own a Uber driver, a smoke shop too? What the No, I wish I did though. If anybody want to go in on one, let's talk about it. I'm pulling this damn car over. I'm pulling this car over right, right to the— Huh? You got the baby in the car too?
Yeah, she in the back.
She, she, she half asleep or something. I don't know. She just have mercy. I pulled it over. I don't Pulled it over. I'm going outside.
Hey, Tasha, she looked like she be telling people she gonna do their hair and she never be there.
What? No, I do, I do. I show up. I want the white folks calling you and talking about you leaving a car, baby in the car.
You ain't lying.
Don't walk away. What you gonna be doing?
I am going to sing, uh, SWV, Misty Rain. All right, well, go ahead. Okay.
In me.
I'm caught in a storm where I don't need no shelter from rain. Down on me and let your love just fall on like raindrops. Rain on me. Yeah, just Just rain down on me. I'm sorry, Derek. Derek said blow the whistle and shut it up.
What is going on tonight? What happened? That's the problem. Oh, oh damn, Latasha. I don't know when 80%— I think only 2 didn't make it. What the fuck was this, huh? Derek, go. I don't want no problems, Tasha. I was trying to come see you while I saw you in Atlanta. This ain't got to do with— this got everything to do with the production team.
Sierra, hey, listen, it's tough tonight. It's really tough tonight. I'm—
yeah.
Based off of two things, you need to come back though. For me, you might go through, but I— listen, let me tell you why I'm saying no, Sierra. It ain't because you can't sing, right? I don't, I don't hear— one, you weren't original, and I think this is an original person show tonight. That's, that's reason number one. Not that you can't sing, but then two, I don't hear quote unquote the maturity in your voice. As much as I would like to. And I'm nitpicking at this point because all y'all can say— Sierra, I'm saying no. Go do that girl.
Do I need to give you another one, Derek? I'm just saying, can I give you another one?
No. Listen, Sierra, go do that girl hair that you promised that you was coming over there. You're already 3 hours late. Okay, well, finish that Uber run and get that baby to the house, okay? Well, I thought it was. I'm sorry.
You know what, Derek? Why you doing me like this, Derek? Come on, Sean. It's annoying tonight.
Really annoying.
I'm gonna come back with an original piece if y'all let me through. That way it could be more original. If y'all let me through, I'mma come back with an original piece. I think y'all gonna enjoy that.
What the fuck did he do?
I don't know.
This some bullshit though.
I want to say yes. Like, what? I don't want to say no. I feel like saying no, like, I would be like a hater, and I feel like one, so shit. I would love to hear a different song, but she can sing. Like you can hear it, like it's there.
Thank you.
And I love your smile. But, um, I really like her. It was great.
So it's a yes? Yeah. Sierra, this is why I'm saying yes, because SWV is hard to sing. I have never ever met anybody that can nail an SWV song, especially with them having such different harmonies. Yeah, like you hit every harmony as if you were every member of the group. That is— thank you. That is, that is hard to sing. And a lot of people think they can sing SWV because they think that they can, like, it's easy song to sing, but they're not easy song to sing. Like, I know, I'm telling you, I've been listening. I'm a big SWV fan. They're winos as well too, girl. They always be in the comments, child. I'm a wino. Hey, hey, y'all, what's up, wino fam? Um, it is a yes for me, and, and we're gonna have to do something here tonight. All right, I'll come back with original piece, whatever I need to do, because I gotta get Derek on y'all's side too. I like the fact that you pulled over and did your thing. You did not let nothing stop you. That, to me, as a woman, speaks a lot, that you don't let shit slow you down. So I love that. And you can say— all y'all could be saying, 10 people.
How many people?
I ain't even gonna tell y'all, I'm also a singer too. So when I perform live, I perform on my skates with the band as well too.
Would you work for something?
Your baby calling you, get back in the car, hold that spot, don't go nowhere.
Because this is the question, this is the question, who gonna watch the baby while she on tour?
Good damn, this shit, she watched the baby you pregnant with right now when you on tour.
Hey Tasha, that shit wasn't even funny. Massaging, I ain't trying to massage nobody in here.
We got a tough night tonight. Jasmine has a great idea. We have a spoken word show next week. It's all spoken word people. I don't think it's fair that spoken word performs with singers. So we're doing an all special edition for spoken word because I want to open up the show with a poet.
Okay, that makes sense.
Jasmine wants to move Teresa, the people, and, and here's what we're going to say.
Elsa could go too.
Don't do that. Elsa can't go to spoken word. She don't—
so you tripping.
She about to—
why are you hating on that girl like that?
I'm not hating. I like her. I can't, I can't— I like Ashaun. So, all right, bring the spoken word people back up. Real quick? What we gonna do? And I'm gonna make it fair for them. They're already moved to the next round because they made it this far. Miss Teresa, how you doing? So next week we got a competition, the same show format, and it's nothing but spoken word because we're isolating the spoken word because we want to open up the show with a spoken word. And as you know, whatever it is, the singing, whatever it is you do If possible, could we have you come back next week? You're already going to be sent through to the finale. So basically, we're going to pick whoever competes against you. You've already made it. Is that okay? Okay. So Adrian will keep in contact with you and we'll get you rescheduled. How you doing, Stu?
I'm good.
Let me turn this fan off.
Okay. So what we're going to do is we have a spoken word competition next week with Shoot Your Shot.
I, I want to sing, but you're, you're spoken word and you're singing. I, I just sing.
Yep.
Yeah, it's a problem tonight.
It's a problem tonight.
It's a problem.
Well, she sang a chorus and she rapped.
Hell yeah, she did. And she sounded better singing than rapping to me.
I love the rap better. I ain't gonna lie, I love the spoken word better.
She just so goddamn good. I mean, what we supposed to do?
But is she considered rap or spoken word?
What do you say?
Singing?
What are you?
Uh, I'm a singer-songwriter, uh, and I rap.
Sing. Just trust me, all right? Say you're a singer.
That's what you right now.
No, I'm just saying that's where you're at. Just say that's where you're at.
I personally feel that with the competition that is here tonight, it will infringe on your talent because I heard more rapping than I heard singing. If you want to carry it through tonight, we'll carry it through, but I feel that you have a stronger chance during the spoken word night. And that's what I got. Ne-Yo's Soul With U, I got Lauren Hill, I got Arrested Development, I got all them. Like, that's spoken word with a beat. You did spoken word with a beat. Like, I don't see you as a rapper. When I see a— I don't even know what a rapper is these days. I don't know.
They're really close.
It's just, this is the trash, the category.
They're poor.
Yeah, they're, they're what?
They're rap.
Okay, fucking hood rats. Okay, listen. All right, give us a second. Let us intervene here. What are we gonna do?
I'll tell you what we're gonna do. We're gonna get one of Teresa's grandkids to go over there and help her next week.
I think that we should vote right now. Based off the people that are here.
We have to pick 4, right?
So I feel like we should just vote, because if she wants to be considered in this competition right now, I mean, we can't really knock it. I do feel like the whiners are going to eat up the singers from tonight. I, I do think that Sadhu would have a better chance next week, um, of winning, in my opinion, because she is really—
I do think that.
But I do think tonight that the singers were really good.
I think we're setting her up again tonight. Amazing. She's spoken word, like with the beat. When you see like flowetry— yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. When I saw Saadud, poetry— flowetry is spoken word. That's why they call themselves flowetry.
We can't let her, uh, determine her own fate tonight. We know what's better for her. We need to push her the next week. She don't see that. She don't see that, but it's best.
I, I'm gonna be honest with you, I hated the singing when she was singing, but when she came in with that rap That shit was immaculate. It was, it was—
I liked all of it, man.
I thought I liked both, but no, I just— I do feel like next week she would have a better chance.
When you, when you're a singer and you do spoken word at the same time, like, you got to be able to move both, move the needle on both. Like, when I think of 'It's Getting Late,' you, you with flowetry, like Like that shit, look, you close your eyes.
Yeah, because I'm picturing this shit. Like, when I— I— now listen, I really— whenever I'm hearing somebody, if I'm really in it, you're gonna watch me close my eyes because I'm seeing everything that should be going on at that moment.
I don't want her to not get chosen tonight, and I want her to have a—
that's my thing. I don't want her to not— And then next week, like, she could have been here this week, you know? Like, that's exactly—
Sadu, come back up here, baby. We're gonna have to make an executive decision. You going into the— you going into the spoken word competition next week.
Can I—
can I say one thing?
Yes.
You came to my door, baby, baby, I ain't been the same no more. You changed me, but at least one thing I know, I can never give you what you want if I don't.
All right, let me catch you right here. Listen, I love you, I know you're a wino, but it's a voice. But the spoken word is your thing, and I think it's stronger than your voice.
I don't see her not winning next week. It's—
I don't either.
I feel like Sadhu, she doesn't want to not be looked at as what she is, which is an artist. She is an artist.
You're an artist.
And she threw the dough though.
Overall, she's a singer. So I feel like, I think it's the category, it's just what's throwing her off. I'm not spoken word like that. I don't do poetry and whatnot. Like, I'm a performer, I'm an artist.
Do you connect with Flowetry? You ever listen to Flowetry?
I have, and I think I've drawn a lot of inspiration from Lauryn Hill.
She's the same genre.
I just love her. I think she's a star.
I think your whole brand— but I'm gonna be honest with you, if you were just singing, I would say, listen, it's a great brand. It's kind of giving I'm going to a jazz club tonight and you're the singer. It's not getting—
hell yeah. With a live band behind you.
My only thing is I would hate for her to be thrown out of the competition tonight, like the Winos not choose her.
Exactly.
And then it's like next week— I mean, I still think the spoken word thing is going to be great, but it's going to be great. I just love her, and I just, I don't know, I just really—
and I love everything about you too. I love the branding, I love everything, but yours is a full package, and it does give Floetry, it gives Lauryn Hill, it gives that. So we're going to make an executive decision, and we're going to save you from yourself tonight. And we're gonna put you into the spoken word competition next week, okay? But the thing is, you don't have to re-perform because they're already gonna see you and then they're gonna watch you. Like, I mean, we'll re-perform, but we're gonna send you through, okay?
Thank you, thank you. I appreciate the opportunity. Thank you guys.
Thank you, thank you. We love you, Sadhu.
I'm Sadhu_Sounds on all platforms.
Yes, yes, that child wanted to prove something. We need to eliminate one more person.
Oh shit, uh, Elsa, let it go, let it go.
It's the dancer for me.
Hey Sean, sing it.
I'm sorry, I noticed somebody, they ended up winning, Sean.
But no, I do Do you agree that maybe the dancer is the dancer?
He's not confident.
I would say yes to that.
Hey, I actually want to see him come back and do that shit from Stump the Yard. He was giving you got served. Okay, well then, whatever it is, he gonna get served up out of him. Oh God, bye, little dancing machine.
Tasha, he got to go. Bring him back up here because he waited patiently.
I like—
you are amazing.
Oh, there go nephew.
More confident, okay? And I need you to learn how to do a backflip. You got to practice your gymnastics, okay? So do not give up on your art. You definitely have it, and you look like a dancer. It's all over you, but you got to practice harder. I watch a lot of the dance videos, so I know good dancers when I see them. You have it, but there's a lot of people that will— right now, because you, you're just not there yet. Okay, so it's gonna be a no for me, but I want you to come back. Will you come back on another episode? Yeah. Okay. He's so shy.
Hey, yeah, that is hurting my— that is hurting me right now because I need you to be better.
How old are you?
I'm 27.
I thought you were like 19, right? Damn, that's crazy.
Hey bro, you, you, you really— listen, you can dance. I don't know what you need to do to get your confidence up, but you need to get it up.
Um, I Groove 2 Smooth. I would say this: one, smile more. Be confident in what you look like. Smile more. You have a nice smile. And when you dance Dance face is everything.
It's everything.
The face has to go with the body movement because if it doesn't, then it's going to throw people off. So that's where the confidence factor comes in. So I said one thing. Yeah, go ahead.
It's not really lack of confidence, it's more like concentration. I don't— when I dance, I don't focus on my face, and that's been a thing ever since I started it. I'm doing my best on work on it, working on it, but I've heard the same thing. I performed on stage and I always hear the same thing.
So something on presentation, facial expressions really sell the audience. Like when Blue Ivy first started dancing on tour, I think a lot of people were thrown off because she— her, like, facially she wasn't really comfortable.
Oh, okay.
But then this tour, when she comes out, I feel like the really big thing that changed for her is her movement changed, but her facial expressions— now when she's on stage, like, she, you know, telling everybody, like, when she hitting those moves, like, like she feel it, and everybody sees that she feels it. So that's why people just like, okay, Blue Ivy, like, we see you, you know. So you gotta work on the facial expression, it has to match the dancing.
But keep doing what you're doing though, keep doing what you're doing.
Hey, and if everybody has told you this, hey man, take heed. What he said, every— he keeps hearing the same thing. And what I'm saying is, if everybody is telling you that, take heed and change it. Do your best to change it.
You know, when you dance, you need an alter ego. You need to get outside of yourself and step into another personality. You need to have two different personalities. I have two different personalities when I'm doing my show, right?
Like, this energy is fine off stage, but when you get on stage, you gotta hit that switch, you know, and turn into a performer, because it's just dancing. All you have to rely on—
who you are— and become somebody else.
Yeah, that person inside of you, nobody's around, you're super confident, that person we need to see.
All right, let's go. All right, thank you so much, I grew. We'll see you next time, okay? Okay, all right, we did it, we did it, we did it!
Hey, I'm glad we weren't in the room with his ass. He looked like he would have shot all of us. He giving like a nice young man. Yeah, shoot your shot, we're gonna have a damn new meaning to it.
Who's— all right, y'all, we're gonna get ready for the final round of the competition where the winos Those are voting, okay? So their fate relies in your hands. And so what we're gonna do is we're gonna ask the singers to come back up here and perform for 30 seconds.
That's fine. And I'm gonna be strict on that damn 30. I'm gonna be strict on it.
First, and bring Elsa first because Elsa is first. Now, Elsa, please don't mind him real quick. So the winner, the winner takes home $300. We will announce the winner during next week's show. Show, so your vote is important. We'll be running this show, of course, live at the end. And so select your singer and make sure you vote for the person that you could see going on tour with us. Okay, so, um, are we ready? The contestants are ready. Thank everybody for their patience. All right, Elsa, let's go!
Hey guys, I'm back. So I'm singing the song I was talking about earlier, All right, here it goes. Somebody real hard to find, somebody worth all your time, somebody who can tell you the truth, someone who loves you for you, someone who knows all of your flaws and doesn't impose, trying to control them, let you be free, doesn't deceive, give you A chance to believe, believe in something. Is that too much?
All right, Elsa. All right. So listen, if you guys want to see Elsa win $300 and a chance to go on to our season finale for a chance to compete to open up our tour with us next year, all right, please vote for Elsa. Is it Kasey?
It's Kasey, but you could say Kasey.
Kassai. Where you from? Eritrean? What? Ethiopian? Okay, okay. I was wondering, you— yeah, I didn't know because I know it used to be a part of Ethiopia, you know. It's like— yeah, okay, okay. All right, well, listen, um, hold that thought.
Thank you. I love you more.
Okay, let's see if the winos love you. All right, she didn't do that bad. I wish she would have taken another uh, Alicia Keys song. Yeah, she blew that out.
I didn't love her.
She's not a serious singer.
Like, I didn't love this one, and I hate Sean for making that child feel like that because I think he made her a little more nervous. But I mean, hey, it is what it is. It is what it damn is.
The world of entertainment, you got to be ready for anything.
Even then, uh, a Jordin Sparks voice. Who?
Goddamn, Sean, we ain't supposed to do We ain't never been at the same goddamn time.
You tried that.
Who's next? Bro Bay, come on back up here, Bro Bay. How you doing? Representing Ghana. You ready? I just got your email too. I got your email with the SoundCloud. I'm gonna be rocking that. So you ready? Okay, go.
Okay.
My one and only sugar baby, my one and only sugar baby. Yo, you're the sweetie, my buddy. I be loving me, is your hobby all that you do? Everything you do, I cannot repay you, cannot pay you. Bring your body, make I show you what that I'm grateful. I wanna show you I'm grateful. You make me feel good in my system. Your sis for school. All right, Robae. Listen, Robae, the songwriter representing Ghana. Well, representing Ghana, but in Nigeria. If you want to see Robae take this $300 home and move on for a chance to perform in our competition, please vote for her now. Okay, we're going to reserve all the votes for the end of the show. Okay, we'll announce the winner next show. Okay, so on our next episode. Hold back. All right. I love her energy. Yeah, okay, I can't wait to listen to her songs on SoundCloud. I cannot wait. I damn sure want to hear it too. I love original music, so yeah. All right, cool. Who's next? Krashana Chicago, what's going on?
Hey, what's up?
I got some original for y'all this time. All right, Krashana, represent Chi-Town. What you got?
Let's see it.
Yeah, you're not my homie. We can't be homies. You don't even know you. You'll never know me.
All my exes think we'll be together one day. Way too cold at this love shit around.
Have them looking for the underplay 'cause true love need investigating.
And you've been doing all this weird bitch talk lately. You didn't even know how to perform the original song!
30 seconds.
30 seconds. Well, that's dropping this summer.
30 seconds.
You want to see Krisha? Krisha? Krishana? Krishana.
Shit.
Yeah, this is fine, girl. Make it through and win $300. Vote for Krishana. Even though I don't think she had a fair performance, but your first performance killed it. Okay, so this one here took a little minute for it to get started, but I didn't know you was gonna be giving spoken word and shit. We would have moved you to next week too.
Shit, I got a little bit of all of that.
All right, cool. Listen, so you guys vote for Krishana if you want to see, uh, Krishana win $300 and a chance, uh, to go on to our season finale as well as possibly open up for us on tour. Okay, so thank you, Krishana.
You, you say what you want to say. I wanted to hear her saying something like, with $3 and 6 dimes, yeah, you may laugh, but you did not do your math. And she went into this other shit, and I seen it coming out.
No, you said that people wasn't being original.
But let me tell you something, she should have originally did a different song this time, because shit, when you went into that, you yourself— everybody got 30 seconds, that's all I got for My bad, her bad. You want me to do—
who's that? Who's next? Sierra.
You make me feel like no other. When you touch me, my body flutters. Hey, so do the things you do for me. No situation can change a thing. No person, place, or anything can make you change your love for me. Like the rain that falls, you pour your love over me.
You give your all, no worries, no kids, babe, no money at all.
I'm so happy being your girl, your girl, your girl.
All right, Sierra, hold on, Sierra, hold on, hold on. Okay, all right, so if you want to see Sierra, uh, win $300 tonight, win this competition tonight, or for a chance to move on to the season finale, please vote for Sierra. Okay, so thank you so much to everybody that came through. Please cast your vote below. Okay, it is in the description— no, in the comment section. So we're putting a poll up So whoever you want to see take the $300, and we will announce next week. Thank you to all the contestants. I'll be honest with you, um, I feel that their performances were better when during their first audition than their second audition. Um, but nevertheless, they're all talented, and, uh, it's up to the Winos now.
Do you think Winos—
it was hard tonight. I'm looking forward to our spoken word. Segment. I cannot wait for that. So shout out to the contestants that we're moving on to our spoken word and that have already gotten our vote. So, but we'll just let them re-perform during that segment against some strong competition. But I just feel like fair is fair.
Absolutely.
All right, tonight was great. It was very— it was good.
It was a really good night, man. I have no complaints about this show tonight. Not a single one. It was wonderful, other than the fact I had to sit here and look at Sean the whole time. Other than that, great show.
Well, you had your own little fashion show going on in the bedroom, correct?
Hey, I was trying to help the nigga find a different career, all right?
That's what Tyler Perry said. Thank you so much.
No, you're not gonna skip past that shit while I'm over here talking the fuck Bring me the fuck back up there. Bring me back.
Thank you so much. Uh, it just slipped off my tongue.
Damn that. Damn, some slip off your tongue. I'mma bust your ass. I was like, you ain't gonna pull me down after she say that? Bush.
Like, bitch, I can't. I swear to God, when I see— I can't. That what Tyler Perry say. He said he want to see what other talents there is.
