Jay 'Jeezy' Jenkins reflects on how self-belief keeps leaders from losing their way. He talks about the importance of having direction and becoming a better leader and family member.
The last thing you want to be is a lost leader. You see? And because you're leading people and you're lost, you don't have the directions, like you don't got your GPS on. And I just felt. I felt like that wasn't who my grandmother raised me to be. I feel like that ain't what I was born to do. And that's what I kept telling myself, man, like, if you don't believe, nobody's gonna believe for you. And I just was like, I know my life should be better. I know I could be a better leader. I know I could be a better father. I know I could be a better brother. And I just kept going at that. And, you know, it was a lot of things that I had to face, you know, that I had to really, like, face that I had to understand that what used to serve me before didn't serve me now.
