This is a YouTube video titled "How my daughter's homework helped my business" featuring Terry Rice sharing a personal story about how helping his seven-year-old daughter with her second-grade math homework inspired him to create more passive income streams and adjust his business strategy to accommodate his family responsibilities. The content is a monologue reflecting on balancing parenting and entrepreneurship.
Here's how my daughter's homework helped me improve my business. So, for background, my daughter's seven years old, she's in second grade, and the math is not the same as it was back in the 80s. I don't know what's going on, but there's different charts, lines, and all this stuff. And for me, in my head, I'm like, look, 5 plus 14 is 19. But that's not how you do it anymore. So I'm going through this and I realized I can't rush through this. She has to learn it. Even though I don't agree with it, she has to learn it and I have to be their supporter. But I also have three other kids, total of four. I'm going to be doing a lot of homework. That means I need more time, which means I need more money. And I have to do it passively because I have to be doing homework. So that's why I made more expensive packages, more forms of passive income, and just ways for me to make money while still doing homework. So whatever your motivation is, kids, homework, whatever, just think bigger. Because when you open yourself up to other ideas, maybe you're forced to like me. That's when you find more impactful solutions.
