This is a YouTube video titled "How to avoid getting ghosted by a client #shorts" containing a monologue by Terry Rice recorded in October 2022. Terry provides advice on how to handle client communication and emphasizes not chasing clients who are not fully committed.
All right, we're doing Q and A with Terry. I'm going to answer some of your questions right now. And the first one is, how do I avoid getting ghosted? I'm going to answer that question, and I'm going to also explain why you shouldn't bother. So how can you avoid getting ghosted by a client? I get it. You know, it sounds like it's a yes, and all of a sudden, they're not responding to your emails. What can you do? Well, during the initial phone call, you want to ask, how soon do you want to get started with this project based on your needs, your timeline, whatever, get that date. And then if you're getting ghosted, you can reach out and say, hey, Josh, you know, you said you want to start by the 15th, it's the 10th right? Now, if we don't lock this in, we cannot move forward. So any decent human being should reply to that and let you know, yes or no, is it a go or not? Also, don't bother doing any of that. You shouldn't have to chase people, right? If you have to chase someone for them to become a client, how are they going to show up? They're going to show up resistant. They're going to show up hesitant. They're going to show up projecting, lack and scarcity, afraid they're not going to get their money back. So in my opinion, you should not chase. Right? You should want to make sure they're a hell yes or you're a hell no and be on your merry way.
