Two sales experts discuss why emotional depth matters on calls. They explain how holding space for genuine human moments increases conversion rates and creates real connection with clients instead of rushing through pitches.
There was a time where this is probably going to be a lot, but there's a time where people would, like, roll up into sales conversations with me and, like, they would cry. And I went through, like, several months of this, and then there was a period where they stopped crying. I was like, am I not going deep enough with them? Like, where are the tears? Like, did I mess this up? We really want to hold space for people to bring the fullness of their human experience.
Why are they crying? Like, what were you saying or asking to meet them cry?
I was really asking about what they want and where they're in their own way. And I think when it comes to growth and transformation, people really want to live their best lives and can be really honest about when they're not.
No, I hear you. I mean, do tiers normally, like, increase the conversion rate of these calls?
Is that a real question?
Yes.
There's a time where I did notice a trend. I'm going to be okay. Here's how I would actually language it. Depth increases the conversion, and tiers, I think, oftentimes are a reflection of the depth.
