Eric White and Jason Fried discuss how to build a personal brand on social media by starting with safer content and gradually sharing more personal material as you grow comfortable with your audience.
What would you say to someone who's listening to this and saying, hey, that's me, I don't want to post either? What would you say to encourage them to start sharing their voice more?
There's really the only way to do it is just to do it. There's really no way around it. I would say maybe start posting content that feels safer, quote, unquote. So maybe share some sort of industry insight, like maybe you don't have to share some more of, like, your personal stuff. So maybe start with that. Or, like, repost an article that might be, that might feel safer. Right. To someone who's just starting out on LinkedIn. So maybe do that. And then you kind of, you start to build your confidence. And then maybe the next step is like, posting something a little bit more personal. Right.
