This is a YouTube video titled "How to work from home when you have kids #shorts" containing a single-speaker segment where the speaker, identified as Q, shares advice on managing distractions from children while working from home, referencing a tip from clinical psychologist Reena Patel. The content is instructional and informal, focusing on family and work-life balance.
Hey, this is Q and A with Terry. Let's take one of your questions right now. And it's pretty basic. How can I deal with distractions from my kids? I should be asking you that question, but here's a tip I picked up from Reena Patel. She's a clinical psychologist. And essentially what you want to do is let your kids know what it's like to be distracted when you're trying to work. So give them a task, like let them start coloring, playing with blocks, whatever it is, and then keep on interrupting them, like take the blocks away, throw the crayons, whatever it is. And once they get upset, you can say, well, look, this is how I feel when you distract me when I'm working too. So let's just respect each other, our boundaries and give each other space. So it's a lot of fun, first of all, because you get to mess with your kids. But second of all, they can learn a valuable lesson. So try that out.
