This is a YouTube video titled "How you can recover from failure #shorts" containing a motivational talk or Q&A session recorded on November 9, 2022. The speaker, referred to as Terry, explains four phases of recovering from failure: action, perception, reaction, and endurance, providing guidance on how to move forward positively after setbacks.
All right, we're doing Q and A with Terry, and here's the next question. How do you recover from failure? Yeah, that's a good question. It's going to happen to all of us. So there's actually four phases, and the first is the action. Whatever event took place that we're calling failure, maybe you messed up on a project, maybe you lost your job. Whatever it is, it's done, and you can't do anything about it, but you can do something about what happens next. And the next part is your perception. How do you perceive this event? Is it the end of the world, or can you just stop now and pivot and have an even better ending to the situation? After that is your reaction. So, based on the event and your perception, what will you do next? And here's where we finally take our power back by making the smallest move in the positive direction to get some momentum going. And the last part is endurance. It's super easy to get all jazzed up when you take a loss and you're like, okay, I'm going to get right back at it. But when things don't happen as fast as you might like, that's when it becomes a problem. You get discouraged, you get upset. So that's why endurance is so important. You have to have this vision in your mind saying, look, I know what I want to accomplish. I know it's going to be challenging, but it's worth it. So I'm going to keep on moving forward. If you can master those three phases, you're going to be in a really good spot.
