Terry Rice describes hitting rock bottom after a drunk driving arrest and jail time. He reflects on the mindset that led him there and what the consequences taught him about his life.
I ended up, you know, being, again, kind of in that mindset where you just don't fear consequences. I'm just. I get on the LIE and I'm doing about 90 miles an hour, practically blackout drunk, and I end up getting pulled over. And, you know, in that. In that state of mind, I was so arrogant and not in fear of the consequences that, you know, I ended up getting in. In. In quite a, you know, argument with the two police officers that were arresting me. And I, you know, as a result of. Of handling the situation that way, they made an example of me and I was pulled over in. In the Hempstead District and. And essentially put in jail for what. What could have been one night, but based on my behavior, ended up being two nights. So, you know, that was. That was by far the lowest I had been. You know, when after the euphoria of this, you know, like, invincibility and party vibe, you know, dissipates when you're sitting on a concrete slab in a jail cell.
