Stop Fixing Your Weaknesses: The Secret to Unstoppable Growth

Two speakers argue you should stop trying to fix what you're bad at and instead lean hard into what you're good at. They discuss outsourcing tasks outside your strengths to actually move the needle on growth.
You've been getting bad advice. Stop fixing your weaknesses and instead exploit your strengths.
As a personal development junkie, I'm a bit confused by that. I always want to try to get better at my weaknesses. So dive into that a bit more for me.
Yeah, I don't see why you would. Because if you're like really good at like three things and that's you can get paid for, recognized for, rewarded for, why would you say, okay, let me take a break from that. I'm going to work on this other crap that I'm not good at.
Yeah.
Even though you could outsource it or automate it, so on and so forth. So like, as a kid, yeah, you want to be well rounded. You know, it's like, hey, you know, that's why you take gym, social studies, math, so on, so forth. As in a adult, you ain't got time for that. Like, just really focus on what you're good at. It makes no sense to develop weaknesses when you can outsource that stuff, especially if it's something that you're not good at and is not at your level of pay that you would charge for what you are good at. Right. So on my end, I'm not good at scheduling, invoicing, filing, things like that. I don't do it right. I can find online to do that for me. But also, that's a waste of my time, energy and talent even if I did. So that's why I think it's useless to actually develop your weaknesses because your strengths are how you get paid and rewarded.
