This is a YouTube video titled "Want to make real connections? Skip the small talk and ask better questions. ‘What do you do for fun'" containing a monologue or talk recorded in 2025, offering advice on how to engage people at networking events by asking about their hobbies instead of their jobs to foster better connections.

If you're at a networking event, don't do this. Don't say, hey, Brit, what do you do? Say, hey, Brit, what do you do for fun? Because if you ask that question, you're automatically in a good mood, meaning you, Brit. And then I can find a moment of relevance if you're like, I like dancing. Oh, gosh. You know, actually, I'm a horrible dancer. Like, you know, how do people loosen up when they're dancing? Right? So if you ever go to a networking event, just ask that question, what do you do for fun? And then beyond that, once you meet someone, try to introduce them to somebody else, too. And that way, you become the most popular person.
