The excerpt opens the interview with the host congratulating Hossam on his recent achievement and asking how he feels about it—whether he is still reveling in the success or has begun to process it. This brief exchange sets a friendly, reflective tone for the deeper discussion about Hossam’s experience with interview anxiety and confidence building.
Congratulations is the first thing.
Thank you.
How have you been? Are you still basking in the glory or are you— have you kind of come to terms with it?
When I knew about the job, first thing, I was excited and then started to learn more about the interview process. All the steps of interview were like new for me and like I was worried about the pre-interview meetings, what to ask and how to perform in these meetings. I always worried, am I going to do well in this or no? I also had these worries of not talking very much, like I'm a quiet person, and maybe I don't have enough things like my colleagues, they have like master's or further qualifications. I follow you on LinkedIn and I know you from Do Not Forget the Bubble. So when I got this invitation, it was on time and I didn't hesitate to join in the course because I knew that I needed such a course. The course, the design is really brilliant. It takes you through the journey that matches your emotional state. So starting when you're excited about the job first, and then it provides you with crucial support during those moments of doubt. It's also helped me understand the entire interview process and understand and know my strengths and weaknesses and tackle common questions. Most importantly, learn how to structure the answers effectively. I was definitely anxious, stressed about the upcoming interview, but I think on the day of the interview, my confidence was skyrocketed. During the actual interview, I felt more composed. Of course, the course is really valuable. You get the use of the whole material that's provided during the course, and most importantly, the live practice when you will be put under pressure. These are the most important moments that you will practice the same as in the interview. I think all, all things that are needed for the interview are covered very well during the course.
