The video, produced by The Art of Crypto, recounts the rise and fall of OneCoin, described as the largest financial scam in history, not just within crypto. Founded in 2014 by Bulgarian entrepreneur Ruja Ignatova, OneCoin was marketed as a revolutionary cryptocurrency promising up to 7% daily returns from a supposed mining operation. The narration explains that the scheme was actually a Ponzi operation that attracted billions of dollars from investors worldwide. Despite growing evidence of fraud, Ignatova continued to promote OneCoin until she vanished in 2017. Law enforcement agencies eventually dismantled the operation, arresting numerous participants and charging them with fraud and money laundering.
