This is a YouTube video titled "BFG17 Monday Motivation" containing a motivational talk delivered by a single speaker on January 20, 2025. The speaker shares an inspirational quote from George Bernard Shaw, discusses its meaning about dreaming big and aiming high, and encourages viewers to stretch themselves in the new year.
Welcome to this week's inspirational quote. This week's quote comes from George Bernard Shaw and his quote is, see things and say why? But I dream things that have never been and say why not? George Bernard Shaw was born in 1856 in Dublin, Ireland, and went on to become a prolific playwright and wrote over 60 plays in his time. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1925. And what is his quote saying? I guess ultimately he's saying, dream big dreams. You know, if you have a big dream and that doesn't come true, then you would have gone a lot further forward in your life and in your goals, setting bigger goals and try to pursue bigger dreams. So there's a lot to be said for aiming high. And if you don't get there, at least you will have achieved more than you thought had you had a smaller dream. And I guess the problem with having small dreams is that you may well achieve them. And then you have to really ask yourself, well, I should have really aimed higher. So what are you going to do to stretch yourself just that little bit further as we dig into this new year? Have a think about that. I look forward to sharing next week's quote with you. Have a great week. Bye for now.
