BFG7 Inspirational Quote

A speaker shares Rumi's 13th century wisdom on curiosity and passion as drivers of personal growth. The video explores what the poet's words mean and how they apply to your own development.
Hi there and welcome to this week's inspirational quote and sprinkle of motivation for the start of your week. Please do share this with anyone that you feel would benefit from these wise words from the 13th century poet Rumi, who was considered to be on the same level as Beethoven, Shakespeare and Mozart. And his quote is a really good one. It's a very simple quote. Sell your cleverness and purchase your bewilderment. Now what does that mean in today's world? Sell your cleverness and purchase your bewilderment. Well, I think it's fairly simple. Selling selling your cleverness is stuff that you're really good at, stuff that you are hopefully passionate about as well. If those two align, then you should be completely and utterly unstoppable. Being passionate about what you do is a really critical key to success in your own well being, but also in the success of your business or whatever you're pursuing. So selling your cleverness and then the other aspect of this quote is purchasing your bewilderment. Now, as I look at the ground trying to make sure I don't trip over any of the roots out here, purchase your bewilderment. That's about things that you might be curious about that you perhaps don't typically take the time to investigate, to dig into. You know, what books are you reading around, topics that you're really interested in, what podcasts are you perhaps listening to on your journey to and from work or on the train, and also, you know, what online programs are you doing, you know, watching, getting engaged with, to develop yourself. So sell your cleverness and purchase your bewilderment is something I want you to think about and reflect on to see where you could make sure that you're more aligned with selling your cleverness and also purchasing your bewilderment to develop yourself into the better version of yourself. Have a great week and I look forward to hearing your comments below. Take care. Bye.
