This is a YouTube video titled "Monday Motivation BFG21" containing a motivational talk delivered by a single speaker in Phoenix, Arizona, sharing an inspirational quote from Mary Pickford about resilience and perseverance in the face of failure. The content is aimed at encouraging viewers to keep pursuing their goals despite setbacks.
Hi there. Welcome to this week's inspirational quote. This week's quote comes from Mary Pickford, who was a silent, legendary silent actress in silent movies many years ago, acting alongside Charlie Chaplin in a number of his films. Mary Pickford was born in Toronto, Canada, in 1892 and filmed something like 40 films in 1909 in that one year. And she's not known as America's sweetheart. And her quote is, if you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there's still a chance for you. What we call failing is not falling down, but staying down. Now, her quote resonates with me deeply. And there's no one on the planet, past or present, that hasn't actually started something and then failed and fallen over and stumbled when they've been pursuing their goals or building their dream. And no one that I can think of has actually started something and had a great success of it immediately. There's always going to be hiccups. There's always going to be things that are going to trip us up and stop us from achieving our goals. And the most poignant part of her quote is the ability to get back up and dust yourself off and take the next step and then the next step and the next step towards pursuing your goals. I look forward to sharing next week's quote with you for now. Bye for now in Phoenix, Arizona. Have a great week.
