Monday Motivation BFG26

This is a YouTube video titled "Monday Motivation BFG26" featuring Jim Rees delivering a motivational talk on the value of good judgment, learning from failure, and modeling excellence based on a quote by Anthony Robbins. The content is a solo inspirational message recorded in March 2025.
Hi there. Welcome to this week's inspirational quote. This week's quote comes from Anthony Robbins, who is a motivational speaker and a successful author of a number of self help books. He's also known to have coached George Bush, Bill Clinton and Mikhail Gorbachev amongst many other famous people. His quote is this success in life is about good judgment. Good judgment is about experience and experience is usually the result of bad judgment. So what does that mean in today's world? It means that we've all had the experience of learning by, you know, failing, falling down. And the best experience that I can example I can give you is when we were little kids learning to walk. You know, there was a point in time where we were just getting around using our bum shuffling skills and crawling. And then one day we decided that actually walking looks a little bit better, a better way to get around and we started to attempt to take our first steps. Now there aren't many kids in life that go straight from crawling straight to attempting to walk and achieving it the first time round. And I guess it's a good metaphor for life. Life is all about being able to get up once you've fallen down. And life is pretty much it's not always a stick steady straight line to success. There are going to be curveballs that are thrown and we are going to fall over from time to time. It's typically about how we can dust ourselves off, get up and go again. So Robbins is famous for what we call in the coaching world, modeling excellence or learning from others that have achieved the things that you're looking to achieve in life. So modeling excellence is about sitting down and learning from others that have actually achieved the results that you're looking to achieve in your life, whether that's personal or professional. And of course social media is packed with examples, video examples on YouTube of successful people and them sharing their strategies of how they built what they built. So instead you don't have to go to the school of hard knocks to learn to do what you're looking to achieve in life. So take a leaf out of Tony Robbins book and start thinking about who are the people around you or near you that you can learn from and model their excellence and learn from some of their strategies to help you achieve the things that you pursuing in your life right now. I hope you've enjoyed this week's inspirational quote and I have a fantastic week and I look forward to next week's quote when we get to next week. Bye for now.
