This is a YouTube video titled "Monday Motivation BFG36" created in June 2025, featuring a motivational talk with two speakers discussing an inspirational quote by Aldous Huxley about self-improvement and the importance of self-reflection and journaling to become a better version of oneself in personal and professional life.
Hi there.
Welcome to this week's inspirational quote. This week's quote comes from Ordus Huxley, who was born in 1894 and was best known for his book A Brave New World, which depicts a very bleak future. And he was born in Godalming in England. And his quote, his inspirational quote is this. There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain to improve, and that is your own self.
So what does that mean in today's world? Well, I guess gurus over the centuries have constantly been going on about self reflection and trying to get people to pay attention to themselves and deeply reflect on their own patterns of behavior and how they're showing up in the world. So self reflection is a huge tool that a lot of people, just because of their busyness, just don't have time to write a journal. You know, pause for a moment and just think about the day that they've just had, or the moment they've just had, or the conversation they've just had, try and reflect on it and see if they can learn something from it. So up until this point in your life, you will have done and experienced.
Tons of things in your career and.
Also in your personal life.
If you've got kids and family, then you've got a lot of stuff that you can potentially reflect on and see how you can potentially improve yourself so.
That you show up as a better version of yourself, your family and your colleagues at work. And if you're a leader, then of course you know being a better leader. So have a think about that in terms of. Okay, so are you creating some time in your week to make sure you do a little bit of journaling and reflect on some of the interactions that you've had and see how you can improve how you show up in the next six situation? I look forward to sharing next week's quote with you. And for now, have a great rest of the week. Bye for now.
