This is a YouTube video titled "Monday Motivation BFG42" containing a motivational talk delivered by a single speaker on August 11, 2025. The speaker shares an inspirational quote from Theodore Roosevelt and discusses the importance of persistence, teamwork, and not giving up on big dreams and goals.
Hi there. Welcome to this week's inspirational quote. This week's quote comes from Theodore Roosevelt, who was the 26th President of the United States. He was born in 1858 in New York. And his quote is, it is hard to fail, but it is worse to never have tried to succeed. So. So what does that mean in today's world? It basically means that a lot of people end up attempting something new. And not very far down along the road, they actually give up fairly quickly without really giving something a full, as we would say back in Australia, full crack of the whip. And that's about taking the next step and the next step until you get it completed, or start looking at other people and look for their advice. The people that are around you in your team, look for their advice about how they might do things. So that's the great thing about being part of a team, is that you've got a lot of other brains that you could tap into. So make sure that you don't trip up on the first try of doing something new. Keep on looking at it, looking at it at a different way, a different angle. And failure only actually happens when you give up. So it's about making sure that you take the next step and the next step and the next step. Now, a lot of the quotes that I've shared more recently have all been about, you know, persistence, being determined, and ultimately, that is the way you end up being successful. Obviously, at some point you've got to say, okay, this is enough, and you've got to go back to the drawing board and start again. But that's not giving up on the dream. It might be just starting again, taking it from a different approach. So don't ever give up on those big dreams, those big goals. So I hope you've enjoyed this week's quote, and I look forward to sharing next week's quote with you. Bye for now.
