The video is a multi‑speaker recruitment pitch for Vivint, positioning the company as the leading, fully integrated home‑services platform in the United States. Speakers emphasize Vivint’s technological superiority—highlighting vertical integration of hardware and software, a record number of Utah patents, and the ability to sell both smart‑home systems and solar installations. They cite a 2 million‑customer base and note that Vivint currently serves only about 2 % of U.S. households, framing this as massive growth potential. The narrative repeatedly stresses personal and professional development for sales representatives: learning salesmanship, leadership, problem‑solving, confidence, and emotional control, with the job portrayed as a transformative experience rather than merely a way to earn money. The partnership with NRG is addressed to dispel rumors about diminishing direct‑to‑home sales. Overall, the content blends competitive‑advantage arguments, market‑size data, and motivational messaging to attract new door‑to‑door sales talent.

No one is better positioned than Vivint to be the leading home services platform in the country. There are a lot of companies that are trying to play in this arena, from the Googles to Amazons to Apple, but when you talk about a company that can deliver all home services and deliver peace of mind and bring all of that to bear on a single platform, app-enabled, I don't think anybody out there does that.
There's no question Vivint ranks amongst the best in our industry when it comes to technology. And the reason why is we take a unique approach to technology in that we're vertically integrated. We have the ability to design hardware, software, and bring both of those things together into a unique customer experience.
Here's something that a lot of people don't know and that they overlook, but Vivint has the most patents than any company in the state of Utah. Public or private. When I'm knocking on a door, I don't care if my competition is right next to me. I already know I'm going to win because they can't sell what we can sell. We have the technology. It is the best. We're varsity. Everyone's JV. Everyone's freshman.
We have a unique competitive advantage that no one else can imitate, where we have the opportunity to sell both smart home and solar and do it at a very high level. We have 2 million customers all across the United States. Many of them do not have solar that we're able to go back to and sell solar. We're also able to go back to them and sell them products.
If you are in the door-to-door industry right now and you don't have the opportunity to attach solar, you're missing the boat. And if you are doing that and attaching solar, I don't know why you would be anywhere else other than Vivint. I know personally when I attach a smart home to my solar installs, they go in, in my personal experience over the last year, 100% of the time. It just makes me so much more dynamic on the doors when I can offer a smart home or when I can offer solar. And when I'm recruiting, I appeal to way more people and more audiences.
As people told me 10 years ago when I was getting into the industry, that the time has passed to be getting into Vivint. And that's just so funny looking back to those conversations, seeing where Vivint is now, where as of today, I think someone entering into the industry tomorrow has the best opportunity that they have ever had, better than I had 10 years ago.
NRG is in no way going to diminish our direct-to-home capabilities. Like, that rumor is absolutely not true. Every conversation I've had with the NRG team orients around how do we expand direct-to-home capabilities. DTH isn't going anywhere.
As big as you can think it, as big as you can envision it, Vivint can do it, right? So if you hit us up and said, hey, I have 120 guys that want to come work for us next week, Vivint can open up the apartments for 120 guys. Vivint can have the iPads there sitting on the bed with badge IDs and shirts. When I've been at other companies and I've had big vision, I've been thinking big, but they don't have the funding or the capability to fulfill my vision. But here you can. There's no excuses.
So I think that you'd find that if you interviewed every person that works here or has worked here before, Every one of them would look back and say that this was a positive personal growth experience. They've learned to speak confidently. They've learned problem-solving skills, emotional control, leadership, teamwork. These are invaluable sets of skills that go on to make them a better person in every area of their life.
If you just think Vivint's a way to make money, you're kind of missing the point and half of the benefit of being here.
You come to Vivint and you develop. You become so much more than you were before. Leadership and leadership development and career development is what we're all about here.
You're going to struggle. You're going to go through hard challenges. You're going to get told no. But I think there's beauty in that, getting to learn that you can push through adversity.
This job is going to teach you a lifetime valuable skill of how to sell, how to read people, how to interact with others in uncomfortable situations, and that skill set of true raw salesmanship is a valuable skill that will transcend into any other career you do if you choose to leave Vivint or you leave sales. I have many people that have come to Vivint, learned this skill set, and thrived in other industries, and this summer is going to help you become something more than what you were before.
Vivint has provided me and continues to provide me with all of the support that I need to continue to grow. They provide me with, you know, the resources, the culture. They provide me with proximity to other impressive people, and they've managed to turn this into a sport. It doesn't feel like a job. I show up to compete and to win, and I get paid to do it. It's awesome.
Getting to see where people start out when we hire them, getting to watch their progress month over month, and then getting to talk to their friends and family, the people that look up to them, look up to them more after they do this job. They're more consistent, they're more reliable, more hardworking. And they become a man and a woman of their word.
I believe Vivint's best days are ahead. As incredible as our success has been, we're only in 2% of US households. And I really do believe we have all the pieces. We've got a differentiated product, a unique customer experience. We're well positioned to be the company that delivers a smart home experience. To all of America.
It's not about putting a little bit of money in your pocket. It's about becoming and developing skills that will enable you to achieve greatness the rest of your career. If I can't look you in the eyes and commit to you that you are going to be better after having worked here, then I've failed. If you're going to come through the doors at Vivint, without question, you're going to leave a better person. A better professional, more skilled, more prepared for your next gig, your next opportunity. That is paramount to us. It's all about becoming so much better and so much more than we were when we arrived here.
