Hey, it's Mark Podolski, the land Geek. I'm on with Antonio Edwards. Antonio, let's have a virtual cup of coffee together. If you don't know Antonio Edwards, he's from rei. Rich and Famous dot com. Antonio, what are you drinking?
This is one of my secret beverages of mine or coffee of mine. It's called Deaf Wish coffee.
I've heard of Death Wish coffee. That's an interesting thing to ingest. Why would you drink that?
I mean, because it's one of my secrets to focusing and actually accomplishing my big task throughout the day. I know most people have a hard time focusing, Mark. And I mean, something about this Death wish is. You know how coffee is. You go to Starbucks or any type of coffee shop, you get that, that high. But when you, once it's over, you get that downer.
Right?
You know, you crash.
Right.
But this, this is an organic coffee here. I mean, and I thank my good friend Preston Illy for, for putting me on to it. When he told me about it, I was like. Cuz he's a guy that hates coffee.
Yeah.
And for him to drink coffee, like, I, I don't even drink coffee. I get maybe like a latte here and there or Frappuccino, but like specific coffee. But this stuff, man, I mean, I have a curry cup. This is it here. I don't know if somebody can see it.
Yeah, yeah, I can see it. Death Wish coffee.
But yeah, it's deathwishcoffee.com and I'm not getting paid, by the way. It's no affiliate, so let's go just buy it.
Okay.
Coffee and it just gets you so makes you feel so great and without the crash at the end of the day. So I'll drink maybe like no more than two cups a day. I do drink one cup on an average day, but sometimes I drink two and I feel good. No doubt.
That's great.
This is part of my morning routine.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We just had done with a podcast and we were talking a lot about focus. So how does Antonio the Hitman Edwards focus? Like what's, what is your routine? So you get the Death Wish coffee, then what?
So I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is I drink a bottle of water.
Okay.
That's how I start my day. I drink a bottle of water because, you know, just want to hydrate myself. And after I drink the bottle of water, I get to my exercising. You know, I stretch. Like today I did some stretching, I did my lunges, and then I Ran the mile. I mean, when I run, I run for speed. I don't know, I know people run for like distance wise, I run for speed and see how I like to run miles in under eight minutes. If I run under eight minutes, I feel great. Like man, I accomplished even in 7 minutes 59 seconds.
Yeah.
Actually today I ran over 8 minutes, but still feel good. I still went out there and I still ran.
You ran faster than me because I didn't run at all. So that's. I think everyone probably listening to this. Well, everybody is like, wow, okay, that's impressive.
Yeah. So I ran, go home, I take a cold shower.
Oh my God. You're the third person now to talk about this cold shower thing. Antonio, I tried the cold shower. It's miserable.
It's a mental thing. Like one actually saving your water bill because you getting in and out, you're not going, you know, you take a warm, hot, fuzzy shower. I mean, you're going to be in there a little longer than a cold shower on an average day because it feels good, it's comfortable, it's like, ah, you know, you're in your comfort zone.
Yeah. I mean, so why not sleep on a bed of nails? I mean, come on. Yeah.
So I'm actually trying to get on Tim Ferriss level. He takes ice baths, ask ice cold baths and read books in the bath. That's all.
I mean, is he getting to like a meditative state? Is that what I mean?
Yes, meditation.
Okay, that, that makes sense to me. Yeah.
Yeah. So I take an ice cold shower. And what the ice cold shower do for me, not ice cold, but cold shower. What a cold shower does for me, it just wakes me up more. It, it gets me mentally focused. It has me thinking about my task, what I gotta do once I get out the shower. And I'm out in like five minutes.
That's a long shower though if I have a cold shower.
Really?
I mean, I think I tried it and I was like out 45 seconds. I soaked half my body, half my hair. My wife's like, what are you doing? What are you doing? I'm like, oh yeah. You know, this was told someone, you know, recommended this to me. She's like, yeah, okay. She's like, you smell like. I'm sure you're fine. Yeah, I get used to it.
Yeah, you gotta get used to it. It's not gonna feel good. It's uncomfortable. So that's the cold key to be uncomfortable.
All right.
Yeah. So when I get out, you know, that's when I make my nice green machine smoothie.
Okay.
I usually use kale banana. I put almond milk in there, pineapples and sliced apples and some almond milk.
Wow. Sounds amazing.
It's amazing. It's amazing.
So you have the smoothie before the death wish.
Yep. That wish is the last two.
Okay.
Yeah. Take the green machine smoothie, drink a bottle of water. Feeling good. And then after that, right before my task, I got my death wish in front of me.
All right. Fantastic. Antonio Edwards, Rei richandfamous.com go to his site. By the way, he's got a free book. Reirichandfamous.com freebook. This is Mark Podolski, the Land Geek.
