Hey, it's Mark Podols for the Land Geek with Jay Massey from cashflowdiary.com Jay, let's have a virtual cup of coffee together.
Sounds like a plan. Let's make that happen. How are you? I'm great.
What are you drinking?
Well, I'm drinking nothing at the moment. Waiting for it to get here. It's being delivered, so to speak.
Are you brewing right now?
Yes, my wife is actually doing the brew thing, and it'll be here. You might see it float in here in a second. So it'll be awesome.
All right, awesome. Now, are you a coffee geek like I am, or are you just like, I just want a cup of coffee?
No, I do partake in coffee quite frequently. I have a friend who calls himself a coffee snob. And, yeah, that's not me. He refuses to go anywhere but to Pete's Coffee. He will not go to don't say the word Starbucks. It's like cursing to him. He would rather make his own. He's got all of the gear. Yeah, that's him. I'm not that way. I just want Copper. Copper.
That's so funny. All right, so Jay is a true geek at heart, like myself, and he just wrote this amazing blog post. I don't know if it was a week ago, but I saved it. It was like his 31 favorite apps that he uses to run his business virtually. And, I mean, it was really just incredible. And some of these apps I had never heard of. So it's@cashflowdiary.com just in case you haven't read it. And I wanted to ask Jay, if I had to nail you down, what would be the favorite app, the one that is just on that front page of your phone. Woo.
On the front page of the phone. I can look. Yeah. Well, it's there. It's definitely on the front page. From a business standpoint, I will say I have an app on here called Voxer, and it's one of the 31 that's in that list. And it's my favorite because my team is 100% virtual. So most of us do not see each other on a regular basis. We just don't. In fact, there are some team members who have worked together literally for years who have never met at all. So they. They know. They know each other's voice and that's it.
Right.
But Boxer allows me to stay in communicating, communication with everybody, and that's what I like. And it's only. You only need a WI FI signal. So occasionally when I'm Traveling, say Cancun or Belize or Lithuania, Estonia, wherever I am.
Right.
I can still communicate in real time for virtually no cost. And it sends photos and pictures. You can text message. You can do all those things and you can form groups and. Doesn't really. I mean, at $5 a user per month, it's like, come on, seriously? That's amazing.
But how's that different than Skype, which is free.
You can't do. It's an actual phone call. I can actually do a voice message. Like, for example, I'll hit this button. Like, if you were on Voxer, I'd go right here. Test, 1, 2, 3. Test, 1, 2,3. That now my voice is recorded. And that actually message actually went out to my team, which is kind of funny, but. And they hear it and it's recorded and then it comes back. So I can just leave that in my own natural voice and come back. I don't have to have you pick up or leave a voicemail in that sense.
Oh, I'm downloading it. That is so cool. That is so cool.
Yeah. All right, well. Productive.
Yeah. For those of you who are watching Coffee Talk, I have try to bribe, cajole, do whatever I can to have Jay become a regular on Coffee Talk because I believe that we just have so many of the similar interests and, you know, besides just real estate and business.
And coffee.
And coffee. So I'm going to try to get Jay on Coffee Talk as much as humanly possible, to the point where he's like, mark, just leave me alone. So I want to thank Jay Massey. Cashflowdiary.com if you have not read that blog post, do yourself a favor and read that blog post. It is going to save you time and money and just make you that much more effective.
