Foreign. Hey, it's Mark Podolski, the land geek, and I've got with me for coffee talk today, nick Loper. Side hustlenation.com or is it side hustle.com I forget. Side hustlenation.com side hustlenation.com let's have a virtual cup of coffee together. Nick, how are you?
Cheers. Good afternoon.
Oh, that's some. That's some old cold coffee. So, Nick, what's a side hustle?
It's anything you do outside of your day job to earn a buck.
Okay? So please, because everybody wants to earn an extra buck on the side, what would be a tip, a trick, a technique for us to kind of get going doing that?
Oh, man, there's, there's a million different ways you can go. In fact, if you go to side hustlenation.com ideas, there's a constantly updated list of things to help get you started there. What I would probably suggest for people getting started to, if this is something you're looking to turn into a business, something that you kind of eventually want to transition out of, a day job was the fastest way to get started is to sell some sort of skill or solve some sort of problem for another business. And so we've seen people do this in terms of like, I'm going to provide, you know, a done for you blogging service for, you know, company xyz, or I'm going to provide a done for you podcast editing service and targeting kind of some, some podcasters that are monetizing their show. This can go a million different ways. Like some friends of mine were doing SEO for small businesses, like kind of a local reputation management, all this, you know, all sorts of different things that you can do if you have some, you know, some background, some experience in that, that's fantastic, but maybe not even required. A friend of mine shared this hack, or actually somebody had on the podcast a couple months ago shared this hack of seeking out the epic how to tutorial post on whatever subject you have some even a vague interest in. Right, right, right. And these posts, do they do really well. They get a ton of comments, they get a ton of shares. And because this is like, you know, the author breaking down their step by step process of how they solved some pain or some problem in their business. But the problem is, you know, for all the people who, you know, give it the thumbs up on Facebook and retweet it and stuff, not that many people actually do the work to implement it because it takes real work.
Right.
And so he made the argument, you could be that guy. You could be like, look, I will just do this for you. Here it is. It's going to cost 500 bucks a month. This is the deliverable. You're going to get 1, 2 and 3. And I was like, oh my gosh, that's crazy. So lots of different ways you can go about it, but I thought that was a pretty fun one to get started with.
I love it. Great tip. Nick Loper side hustlenation.com thanks so much for coming on Coffee Talk and having a virtual cup of coffee with me.
