Don't Listen to Detractors

A short motivational YouTube clip by Mark J. Podolsky (the "Land Geek") advising viewers not to let detractors—external critics or inner negative voices—prevent them from pursuing goals. He cites a quote about critics, identifies fear as the usual cause, gives an example of a student discouraged from land investing, and ends with calls-to-action to his land-investing resources.

Hey, it's Mark Podolski, the lane Geek with thelanggeek.com.
Let'S have another virtual cup of coffee together. So I was just looking on my phone and I came across a great quote and the quote from Richard Davos. I don't know who he is, but maybe he's famous for something. I really have time to check out Wikipedia, but I thought it was a good quote anyways, so his quote is the easiest thing to find on God's green earth is someone to tell you all the things you cannot do. How true is that? How many times have you come across a great idea, you've been real excited about a new venture, you wanted to do this or do that, and there's someone in your life that tells you why it's not a great idea. You can't do it, you shouldn't do it. We don't have the money. You don't have the experience, you don't have the expertise.
It's going to take long. It's not going to come to fruition. It's this or it's that. There's always that critic, right? Sometimes it's even you. Sometimes it's that little voice in your.
Head saying, you really shouldn't be doing this.
So this is common, and I think it all comes down to fear.
Fear for them, that if you go.
Ahead and you reach and accomplish your.
Goals and your dreams, what to say about them.
Or sometimes it's from a really good place, like, I don't want to see.
You get hurt or lose something or take a risk.
But life is uncertain. Life is risky. You have to go out there and.
You have to make things happen.
No matter what people say, the detractors. I had a coaching student email me and she said, my attorney said I shouldn't be investing in land, that I should be doing houses. And I emailed her back and I said, if you ask a million people for their opinion about land investing, you're going to get a million different answers. What do you think? You've gone through the course, you've seen the testimonials. Is it important to you?
So ultimately, it's your life and you have to decide. And if we're always going out to the outside world, then we're always going to find our detractors and we may never really reach our full potential.
