Hey, it's Mark Podolski, the lane Geek with thelangeek.com let's have another virtual cup of coffee together. So when you're working, and we've talked about this before, it's really important to get into a flow state. A flow state is when everything around you disappears and you're completely focused on the task at hand. And it's like time, you know, goes away. You're just completely focused. You can see athletes sometimes when they're in the flow or they're in, in the rhythm and they can't miss a shot. They're in that flow state, just completely focused on what they're doing and we can actually recreate that and work. And what it takes are a few certain elements to recreate flow in our work, especially when we're doing our deals. So first thing is you need to make sure that you have the task that you're doing and completely focused on that task. Don't take any phone calls, shut off your email, don't look at text messages, don't go on social media. Be completely focused on that task. Second, that task needs to be challenging. Not too challenging, where it's got a huge learning curve, but challenging enough. About 4% more challenging than you're used to. Right. Is usually the right number. So it's got to be a little bit challenging to you, not mundane. And then the third, it has to have an attainable goal. An attainable goal. So the goal can't be like one of your life goals. It has to be. The goal is going to be, I'm going to write five Craigslist ads in the next hour. Right. And that keeps you focused on an achievable goal. So three aspects, again are going to be, number one, complete focus on what you're doing. Number two, it has to be challenging. And number three, an attainable goal. And. And number four, intrinsically rewarding. So the fact that you're doing it is reward in itself and that you're taking on the project and not what you're going to get out of it.
