Transcript of a YouTube interview discussing how virtual assistants and outsourcing are used in a land investing business. Mitch Parker describes his role as selecting investment areas, reviewing due-diligence-vetted deals, and handling some sales/offer decisions, while delegating intake, vetting, and other tasks to his team. The interviewer emphasizes that outsourcing/automation can reduce owner workload to an hour or two per day.
Mitch Parker, how much your business is performed by virtual assistants? What are the activities that you guys still perform on a day to day?
I choose the areas, I mail, I review the deals to decide which ones I want to purchase after they've been vetted by the team. Meaning there's a initial intake process, due diligence report. Like I look at that. So we decide where to invest and then we, we work with, you know, the sales person in terms of do we accept offers that people make on our property. So that's really the extent of it?
Yeah, yeah. I mean, really, the sky's the limit with outsourcing this business. I mean, we can outsource everything. We can automate so much to where you can get to the point where you're working an hour or two a day in your land business. Less. You know, having been a physical therapist and working a lot of hours every week, I'm glad to work an hour or two a day in my land business. I find myself be very fortunate in that regard. So I would say yeah, on the front end of the, of the business, I'm kind of just giving my blessing on the deal on whether or not we move forward. And then on the back end of the business, I'm still doing some sales stuff, which, which is fine. I have a guy helping with sales, but I'll do a little bit of sales stuff.
