All right. Tate Litchfield. I love it when you call me Big Papa. We are live on the Interwebs. We are on Twitter for Periscope, YouTube, and Facebook, and the motivation group on Facebook. How are you, my friend?
I'm good. Starting to show some wear and tear from this isolation. Hair's getting long. Beard's getting a little bit longer.
But.
You know, I'm happy. We're healthy. We're counting our blessings, that's for sure. How about you?
Yeah, same thing. I mean, I'm just looking worse and worse every day and totally embracing it, which is fine, but so blessed. Like, you know, our business isn't affected, which is amazing. We're totally virtual, and we're used to this. So, like, there's just so many blessings all the way. And, like, just this big pause. Like, even just being with my family in a different way, cooking more. We're cleaning together. Like, there's no cleaning person coming to the house. Everything's different. It's. It's different. I'm. I'll be honest, I'm getting kind of tired of not going out to a restaurant or a movie theater.
Yeah.
But other than that, like, it's. It's not so bad. I think that's Paul Brewer saying hello again. It just says unknown for me, but, yeah, it's Paul.
It's Paul.
But he's given us the gents. Two of my favorite gents, by the way. If you're on live, leave a comment. Tomorrow we are doing our giveaway for the $1,997 investors toolkit. If you have the toolkit, you can gift it to somebody, or you can even apply it toward flight school or coaching or software, whatever it is. Yeah. Paul's like, yep. So hopefully, Paul, you're being safe out there. Tate Litchfield, who are we? What do we do?
We are professional land investors, and we specialize in buying raw, vacant land all across the United States and making it available to everybody with low, affordable monthly payments. And that's what we pride ourselves on. And so our goal is to make land ownership available for everyone. So I guess that's what a professional land investor does, right? That's it.
Yeah. And we teach people how to do this so they can get out of solo economic dependency, which means if they're not working, they're not making any money. How nice is it when you go to bed at night, you wake up in the morning, you get paid in your sleep, and you can work when you want, where you want, with whom you want, there's nothing better when we solve those two big buckets of stress in our life. Time and money. Tate Litchfield, what's that like, man?
You know, we recently had a new baby last year. I got in a car accident. I've had a little bit of a bumpy road over the last six months. I'd say highs and lows for sure. But, you know, with those life changes definitely come some pauses. And it's been really amazing to be laid up in a hospital bed for a week waiting for an operation to happen and know for sure that my family was okay, that our bills were going to be paid for, we weren't going to have to stress about things. In fact, I would check my email while I was there and it's like, woohoo. We sold new property and I didn't even know who bought it, what property it was, but deals went down and it was a great feeling. So to get rid of solo economic dependency is, I don't know, dare I say, one of the best things I've accomplished in my life. I mean, I know that's what you would say, right?
It's tough, at least professionally, but I think without doing that even personally, to be able to never miss anything with my children, like, they were babies when I was at home working and my wife could run out, I could watch the kids, I could go to the park during the day and I could get stuff done at night. It was really amazing. Now look, the jury's still out if that was a good or bad thing for my kids, but it was really good for me selfishly. And I'd say that, you know, even just to your point of getting sick or being hurt, like, there's an amazing sort of freedom that comes with not having to call hr.
Yeah.
Like, I used to get sick and I'm like, ah, I gotta make that call. Are they gonna believe me? Are they gonna think I'm playing hooky? Do I have to, like, put on the sick voice? You know? And it was like, now I can just get sick. It's like, fine.
It is, it's great. I mean, and it also goes. It's fantastic because, like, if there's a family event or an activity or something I want to do, I can go. I have no excuses, right? Like, and just do it. I don't need to ask for time off. We want to go take a week off and play. Great. I want to go on a fishing trip somewhere exotic.
No problem.
I don't have to talk to anybody. Nobody needs to approve it. I Do what I want. It's the greatest.
And to me, that's real wealth.
Yes, really.
Like, you know, the Ferrari that gets old, all that stuff gets old. But what doesn't get old is total freedom. That never gets old. And so, and you don't need that much. I mean, you know, once you get to 10, 15,000amonth in passive income and it exceeds your fixed expenses, that's. That can move the needle for most people, for sure.
Yeah, it definitely can. And it's amazing working in the coaching program, working. We talk to people all day long and we talk about goals and we, we lay out a strategy for achieving those goals. What they need to do, how they're going to structure their business, how they're going to build it, because that's what we're experts in. And one thing I always tell people is we'll pick a passive income number, whatever number it may be, 10, 20, $15,000 a month. And I'll say to them, all right, when we achieve this goal, something amazing is going to happen in your life. What is that? All of a sudden your mindset is going to shift because you're going to be making money for existing, right? For selling property. And you enter into a phase of maintenance and you say, you know what? My life is amazing. I've got what I want. I want if I want more, what I need you. Right? A good friend of ours had some problems arise on one of his most expensive toys, right? And it required a $30,000 new engine. And you know, I remember talking to him like, oh, man, that sucks. That's gonna cost you. That's gonna hurt. And he said, ah, not worried about. And I said, why? Because I'll just do this, this and this. Flip it. And I've talked to him since then and he's flipped a bunch of property, made about $28,000 already. And it was like four days lately. So it just goes to show you that if you have the knowledge, you can do anything you want. You want a new backyard, you want to put a pool in your backyard, you want a new kitchen, you want to renovate your bathroom?
No problem.
Give yourself two months. You can pay for it all in cash.
Yeah. And when you say you are going to pay for it all in cash, your borrowers or your, your, your land buyers. I don't pay for anything. My borrowers pay for everything. It's an amazing feeling.
We don't have bills.
Yeah, it's the greatest. It's the greatest.
That's a good segue.
It is A good segue. Because what I want to. Or what we want to talk about today is. Didn't you see the email? Does size matter? Does deal size matter? But I want to.
Yeah.
So Racine Sugai. I want to say hi to her. Aloha. Derek Kaufman says, hey, guys. Lance Ellis. Dr. Ellis, I hope you're safe out there. Man says, afternoon, guys. Thanks for keeping up the content. I don't. It says, hi, Mark. Hi, Tate. Good to see you, and thanks for another day of great content. I don't know. It says unknown. I don't know who it is, but.
Maybe Joe Terzino needs a toolkit.
Mark, Joe, tune in tomorrow. Yeah, see, I don't know. I didn't see that from Joe. Max Lemur says suit and tie isn't for everybody. He lives in Tampa. I just talked to Max. Joe Lucas says, afternoon, gents. Jen Ramquist says, time. Wealth is real wealth. Our buddy Carl Webb, He's. He's on YouTube right now. He's like, hi, guys. Still working for the man, but enjoying the afternoon live content. Carl. So just. Just seeing your name puts a smile on my face. Hope. Hope you and the family are doing well. Andrea Miller says, what's up? And Muhammad Kayali says, hi. So, Tate, what do you think? Let's talk about deal size.
All right.
Why are we even talking about deal size?
Well, I mean, it kind of came up because I think it was a couple boot camps ago, somebody said, you know, why don't you guys go after the expensive properties? Why don't you go after the properties that cost $40,000 to acquire? Is it a money thing? And I remember thinking, no, it's. It's. It has nothing to do with money. It has to do with knowing who your client is, who your consumer is here. And so does size matter? Really stems to this idea of, are you going after home runs on a daily basis, Mark? Are you just trying to get on base when it comes to selling a property? Are you going after small little victories? Or are you swinging for the fences on a daily basis with your deals? Very happy. Oh, Mark. Technical difficulties I can't even blame. I was gonna blame it on you being on a PC, but I know that's not the case, so we need to delete this so Scott Todd never sees this message. Mark, your audio's all messed up, too, so you need to reconnect your headphones.
So. Let's hang up and try again, okay?
Call me, okay?
