Hey, it's Mark Podolski, the land Geek with thelandgeek.com let's have another virtual cup of coffee together. So for those of you who are regular listeners to the podcast, you all know that at 3 o' clock every day I take a 20 minute break and I meditate. So it just so happens that I was reading a book about willpower and it turns out we only have so much willpower. And there was a study done where students were given a offer of eating chocolate or fruit. And it turns out neuroscientists discovered that when the students were thinking about something else or preoccupied and their minds are running around, they often chose the chocolate over the fruit versus the people that were a little bit more had space in between their thoughts and a little more mindful, they would make the better choice of eating the fruit. So how does this apply to land in your business? Well, we only have so much willpower in a day and we need to stay focused on our goals, right. And not get distracted. And one of the best ways to train your mind to stay focused on your goals is to practice this ancient wisdom of meditation. I know it kind of sounds new agey, but there is now science to back it up. One of my favorite apps on the iPhone, I think it's even for Android, is Headspace. Check it out. It's a guided meditation and I know it's new agey, but it really can apply to your business and help you grow it and help you succeed in all areas of your life.
