Hey, it's Mark Peltsi, the Land Geek. Let's have another virtual cup of water together. I got you this time, right? I thought I was gonna have a cup of coffee. Well, it is coffee talk, but look, it's very important to stay hydrated. So I just don't want you to have any kind of health issues with too much caffeine. And, you know, why not have a glass of water once a while? I drink this all day long. Maybe three tumblers a day, maybe four. I don't even know. Anyways, I digress. I want to talk about a book I just finished by Peter Thiel, the billionaire founder of PayPal. And he's another billion dollar company. This guy is pretty remarkable. But the big takeaway that I got from the book was become a monopoly in your niche. What? What can you do better than anyone else and dominate in your niche? And his big theme is avoid the competition. Everybody's competing and competing. At the end of the day, no one really wins. And he uses Google as a great example that they are the dominant monopoly in search, even though they act like they're not a monopoly. So monopolies will tell you they're not a monopoly in companies that think they have some type of unique advantage, that really don't, that have tons of competition, keep telling themselves, oh, we're different, we're unique when they're not. So in the land business, where, in what subset of land can you dominate? In which niche? Can you be the guy that works with all the preppers? Can you be the gal that works with the people that want to land bank? Can you be the person that all the wholesalers come to? What area can you dominate? Because this is a massive market. It's massive. And it's very clear and very simple to get into this industry, but it's not so easy to dominate it. So take some time and think about who do you want to be? How can you be better than anyone else? And how can you dominate in that subset niche in the land business?
