Chapters

Did you know your grandmother needed permission to get her own credit card? She couldn't get one without a man's co-signer or co-signature. Women couldn't get mortgages in the 1980s. 1974, the Credit Act was passed so that we could get credit cards, we could get mortgages. In 1987, we still couldn't get SBA loans for our business. Now, I want you to think about how many women you know in positions of power and/or own companies or businesses, and these are the issues that we faced not 150 years ago, 50 years ago. So today, go out and live boldly. Stand in courage and know that you are supported by the genealogical lines, ancestral lines of women before us who paved the way so that we could do what we came here to do.
