Would you be able to tell us your name and who you are? Yeah, I could tell you, but I don't know if I want to. Just kidding. My name is The Scary Guy, and I changed my name 30 years ago in a court of law legally. My name is on 2 passports. It's legal. Most of my friends call me Scary. I changed my name in a court of law because someone I don't know in Tucson, Arizona— I had my 3 tattoo shops ran a full-page ad in a newspaper and he said, "Are you tired of dealing with Scary Guys with war paint facial tattoos?" And when I read the ad in the paper that day, I slammed it down on the counter and I thought to myself, "Why would that guy say that about me? I'm a good guy." But the very first thought that came to my mind was, "What am I gonna do to get that guy back?" You know, revenge. The first thought was I'd just jump in my hot rod, Lincoln, find out where that guy lives and go over to his house and run over his dog. I always thought a flat dog ought to get him back, you know, man's best friend. Then I thought, nah, that's not good enough. I'll bring my baseball bat along and I'll just whack off his kneecaps. And then I thought, no, that's not me. I'm not a violent guy. I'm a good guy. He's the bad guy. Look what he said about me. And then when I started standing on a pedestal and I started bragging about how great I was as a human being, and I realized at that moment in my life I was a name-caller, a hater. I could stereotype and categorize people at will. And I masked my whole life in sarcasm and humor. That's how I got away with it. So I realized at that moment I was just like him. I just didn't use newspapers. He called me The Scary Guy, and I didn't see myself like that at all. But the realization was, is that I was just like that. I was motivated out of anger, and I jumped down off my pedestal, and I told all my friends I was packing my bags. And they said, "Where are you going?" I said, "I'm gonna travel the world to help people see each other differently." from the inside out. And they said, "How are you going to do that?" And I said, "I haven't got a clue. I can tell you one thing though." And they said, "What's that?" "I think I just wasted 43 years of my life running my mouth, calling myself a good guy." So that's how I got my name. I decided to take the name on because it represented my past, my first 43 years.
