Hi everyone, my name is Tilly and today I'm going to be telling you 35 facts about me. I saw a comment that said they thought there was more of a focus on the bionics itself rather than actually me, so they wanted to know more about me a little bit rather than the bionic arms. So here I am today without any hands and I'm just going to be telling you a couple of facts. About myself. So first of all, let's start pretty simple. I was born on the 7th of October in the year 2005, making me 14 now. I have quite a big family, so I have 3 sisters, 1 older and 2 younger. So I am one of the middle children. There's 2 of us, but I'm older middle child. I am 4'11" and have stopped growing actually. My growth plates have stopped working in one of my legs, and therefore I've got a bit of a leg lengthening discrepancy. And so this leg's longer than this one, but in order— since that one isn't growing at all, in order to like stop back problems and that, I need to kind of keep them even. So it makes it so that one can't really grow much more either. But even if I didn't have a problem with my growth plates, the doctor said I probably wouldn't have been very tall anyway. My mom stopped growing when she was in Year 8, Grade 7 I think for Americans, and I'm now in Grade 8, Year 9, so it was pretty— I thought I would stop growing this age anyway, so whatever, it's fine being small. My little sister who is now 11 years old, I'm 14, and she is the same size as me, so that's good. I'm probably going to be the smallest out of all my sisters or all my family, to be honest, because my older sister is 5'3", 5'4" maybe, I'm not sure, but taller than me. And then my 11-year-old sister is the same size as me, and my younger sister is 8 years old and she's really tall, and we all think she's going to be the tallest out of us all. So I'm pretty much definitely going to be the shortest, I think. To add to all the chaos of my parents having 4 girls, we also have lots of animals. I have 6 cats. I know, 6 cats, quite a lot. Um, I have a dog, he's a cockapoo. I have 2 chinchillas and 3 fish, so that's fun. It's very chaotic in this house, but that's why I love it. I'm a bit of a crazy cat lady, if you haven't guessed. Um, I'm— I have 6 cats. That may be your first sign that I'm a bit cat crazy, but I just love them. They're so cute and so fluffy, and I do worry, like, when I move out, if I'll just see a cat, then I'll just have to rescue it. If it's true, I'll just take all these cats in and it'll just be me and about 30 cats in my house. So that's something I do worry about, but I love cats. I was born in Durham, a little while away from Newcastle, so that's why my accent isn't that strong, because I'm from a little way around there and my dad's from the South as well, so I'm kind of a mixture. I don't often, like, recognize my accent at all. I think it's because I speak like it, but I know so many people who sound a lot more Geordie than me, and I guess that's the reason why. But when I like go to different countries and that, people are like, "You're from Newcastle." So I guess I'm not great at hiding it, not that I need to, but it's just I don't really recognize it as much as other people would because I'm really not as Geordie as everybody else here because I'm not from Newcastle specifically. I've been homeschooled from September of 2019, and I really am loving it so far. I do like it better than public school, and I've only been doing it for about 4 months now, but I'm really enjoying it, and I want to keep doing it, and I'm happy with where it is at the moment. My favorite food is mashed potato, which is probably a bit weird. Like, usually people's favorite food is like pizza or something, but here I am, my favorite food is mashed potato. I don't You just can't beat a mashed potato, but I think that's a good best favourite food to have because it's a vegetable, basically it's some mashed up vegetables, so I'm healthy. My favourite food's a healthy vegetable, so that's alright. My leg hasn't bent in 2 years after an operation I had. It's a very long story, it stems from the fact that my leg stopped growing so we had to kind of lengthen it. It's a very long story and it was about a 6-month procedure doing the operation, so if you do want a storytime on that it will probably be long enough to do a whole video on it. So if you want to know more about that, let me know and I'll make sure I do it. My favorite movie of all time is The Greatest Showman. It's amazing. I love all the music in it. I'm always singing the music. Me and my sisters and my whole family just love the movie. I saw it at the cinema about like 5 times and I'm not even mad about it, to be honest. I could go watch it right now. Something that people don't really think I am is an introvert, because I do do a lot of public speaking across the world and that on stages, but I'm actually such an introvert. Like, I'm happy with my own company, maybe a bit too happy with my own company. Like, I cannot speak to someone for days and I'd be absolutely fine. But I think it's really important that you need to be like good and happy with your own company, because it just means like I don't ever feel lonely or anything. I've always got like people there. I've got my friends, I've got my family, family and everyone, but I just, I would much prefer to like be in the house rather than going outside. That's just how I am. I would much rather be curled up with like fluffy pajamas on, a dressing gown, and a cup of hot chocolate watching a movie. My sister's the complete opposite. She loves going to the parties and stuff, and I honestly don't even know how we're sisters. We're so different. She'll be glammed up to get to a party, and I'll be like getting me fluffy pajamas on and take my makeup off type thing. So yeah, I'm an introvert. I am huge on family. I love my family. I'm so grateful that I've got a big family, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. I just love the fact that I've got like 3 built-in best friends anyway as sisters. Even if we argue like about 50 times a day, we're still always there for each other, and I just, I feel like it's really nice. I love my family, and I just I don't know what I'd do if I was ever to lose them. I did stage school for 5 years and it was at Stagecoach. I was in an agency and everything where we did singing, dancing, and drama. And I'm really into all the arts and that, singing, dancing, and drama. But I did stop that because of the operation I had on my leg, which is kind of sad. But I'm still always dancing, always singing, jumping around the place, acting, and all sorts. I'm just not taking lessons, if you know what I mean. But I really enjoyed it, and maybe when my leg sorts itself out, we can go back. So when I was little, me and my sister Tia and my cousin, we used to kind of recreate and act out all the Barbie movies, um, just outside my Nana's house, like in a garden. And we never had a script or anything, but we just loved Barbie so much that we just kind of like went along and just started acting out the full movie. We knew all the songs and everything. And we always had like our characters to play and no script was needed. We just carried on and basically recreated a whole Barbie movie just for fun when we were about 7. I was 7, my cousin was 8, and my sister was 9. And we have some good memories being Barbies. I am such an old soul. I don't know if people get that from me. I'm pretty sure they do. People say I'm an old soul all the time. I feel like I I just speak and act, I just sound like I'm a lot older. My family think I've lived before and I'm wise beyond my years apparently, but I'm not sad about that. I think being an old soul is quite cool and it's not a bad thing. When we were little, my sister Tia and my cousin again, we were very troublesome kids as you can imagine, but we basically went in my nana's garage and we pulled out like everything and we would always just set up houses and camp basically on the side of the streets. So I don't know what people driving past were thinking, like seeing us like full-on having our own little houses on the side of the road, but that's what we did. We just loved emptying the garage and making homes apparently. It was a lot of fun. One time we went in the garage to do the same thing, probably empty it, either getting bikes out or like setting up camp as well, like we did for some reason. And we went in, and my sister and my cousin swear down that they saw this orange worm type thing come wriggling out of the garage extremely fast towards us. And they just screamed and ran the other way. And I didn't see anything, but I do remember just screaming and like running with them just because I was like, oh, what we screaming for? But they both saw the exactly the same thing, like neon worm thing comes skating out at us. So I don't know if they both imagined the same thing, or we discovered a new insect or a snake in England. I'm not quite sure. Wish I could have seen it for myself, but I didn't say— I just ran and screamed. I have been put up a year at— in my education at school because I'm now homeschooled, and so I'm doing my GCSEs in October of this year, and I'm 14. But then I'm doing another lot of GCSEs next October next year, um, where I'll be 15. I think that's a really great way of doing it though because this year I only have to focus on 5 topics and then do 4 GCSEs. I've got Spanish deferred for next year since it is a language, and then I've got another set of GCSEs next year, but then I don't have to study the topics that I'm doing this year, so I can like put all my focus, all my attention into only 4 or 5 subjects, so I think that makes GCSEs a bit easier. But yeah, I've been put up a year and that means I'll be finished school— well, my GCSEs, like high school, secondary school, all of that— a year before I would when I was at public school. So that's pretty cool. This year I'm studying Business Studies, Environmental Management, English Language, Maths Extended, and Spanish. But as I said, I'm doing Spanish next year as a Part 2, and next year I'm doing psychology, geography, English literature, um, science— scared for that— and then Spanish Part 2. So that's what I'm studying. A few good traits about me is that I think I'm really understanding. I'm great at seeing two sides of the story, and I'm really good at giving advice. But something that I don't necessarily like about me, a bad trait about myself, is that I can be really indecisive. And I know it drives a lot of people insane, like my family and my friends. I just don't know, I can never come up with a decision. I do think I'm getting better at that though, so that's something I'm trying to improve. One of my worst fears ever are whales, and I know I know that can come as quite a shock to some people because whales are like supposed to be proper friendly and stuff, but it was just the fact that something that big is roaming around in like some deep dark waters really terrifies me. And I'm like, I fear the unknown so much. So I love the sea, like I'll go swimming in the sea, snorkeling and stuff, but as soon as I see a fish, I'm out. Even though that's where they live and everything, but it's just when you don't know what's underneath you, it's quite scary. Like if I just see a fish pop up next to my face, like a fisheye, I'd be absolutely terrified. So don't like the unknown, don't like whales. Oh, I don't really like anything that's a lot bigger than me because as we found out, I'm very short, so something big really intimidates me. If I was born a boy, I was going to be called Addison, which means Adam's son, because my dad's called Adam, so I would have been Adam's son. Addison. And if I was a girl, my other possible name was going to be Anoushka. My middle name is Summer, so it's Tilly Summer Lockey. And it's called Summer because that's what my dad wanted to call me. But we were— after, my dad's from down south and we were at Northampton where they live, and my dad wanted to go golfing with his, with his dad, my granddad, and left my mom with like all the kids. Mom was like, okay, fine, you can go, I'm not stopping you, but the kid's being called Tilly, okay? And he agreed, so he just left my name be Tilly because he wanted to go play golf, and I'm stuck with this name for life. But I do quite like it. But my name is Tilly Summer Lockey, and that is why. My favorite season is autumn or fall, which doesn't go with the name anyway. If I was called Summer Tilly Lockey and then my favorite seasons are like autumn and winter, so whatever. I am obsessed with fluffy socks and just anything cozy, like cozy pajamas, fleecy pajamas, like bedding, like new bedding, dressing gowns. I love all of it. Blankets— I have far too many blankets, far too many pillows. Just, I can't help it. I go in a shop, I see a fluffy blanket, and I just have to have it. I hate roller coasters. I know loads of people absolutely love roller coasters at theme parks and stuff, but for me, I think I was like traumatized when I was little because we went to South Shields for their little theme park type thing there, and there was a roller coaster for kids— shouldn't have been for kids really— but it was basically a caterpillar. And when I was around 8, I plucked up the courage to get on this caterpillar ride and I really, really didn't like it. I don't really think it should be a kids' ride anyway because I think the thing about it was that it just was so sharp. The turns were just like that, like 90 degrees, and I just felt like I was being chucked around and it was actually painful to be on this ride. So now I'm just really scared to go on a roller coaster ever since. I don't like it how if you like sit on a ride and then you realize, I'm really not gonna like this, I'm not liking this, but you can't get off because it's already started. That's like, really scares me. So who knows, maybe I actually like them now. It was just I had a bad experience when I was little that wasn't really that bad, but I just didn't like it, so I haven't been on one again. I love music and I sing literally all the time, really, really loud. I don't care if it's good or bad what I'm singing, but it's just always at the very top of my lungs and probably drives my family insane. If I need blood taken out at the hospital, something really strange about me is like— sorry if I'm cringing anybody here who's like doesn't like needles or blood or anything, um, but they can literally have the needle in a vein and my blood will start coming out, but then it'll kind of just get stuck in the tube. I don't know why, nobody knows why, but that's always happened with me. Maybe the fact that I had so many blood transfusions when I was little. I'm not really sure, but doctors always struggle to get like a sufficient amount of blood out of me to like test. I love chamomile tea. I love tea anyway, but chamomile I absolutely love and gets me so relaxed, and I think it tastes good. My favorite time of the day is dusk, just when the sun's about to set, and I just really like it. I always seem to be like happiest at that time for some reason. I always just get a sudden burst of energy and I'm like jumping up and down, doing laps around the house. For some reason, I just feel like really, really happy around that time, which is good. I love decorating, and I can't wait to move out because I just can't wait to like decorate my house all nice with all my furniture. And for Christmas as well, my room looks completely different. I don't know if many people decorate their own rooms, but I do. I go all out. Beddings changed, cushions changed, pillowcases. I've got like fairy lights, different curtains, everything. The Christmas tree in my room, of course. Um, it's very— I go very all out for decorating, and so I really just can't wait to move house and just decorate my whole house. I feel like that'll be really fun. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I do have a really great big family, so I always think it's great to just get everyone together and spend time with them. Everybody comes to our house. We host on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day, so like everybody's around our house for like a good 3 days. But I always love that time of the year. I love the decorating, I love winter, I love the coziness, I love snow, I love Christmas movies and Christmas music. But let's be honest, I listen to them and watch Christmas movies all year round anyway, um, and I haven't been cursed with bad luck, I don't think, yet, so I think that's all good. So very superstitious people, but I do. I can't help myself. It's great. They are all the 35 facts I have to tell you today. Let me know if you want to see more videos like this or you want to know more facts because I probably have a lot. Um, but I hope you enjoyed this video.
