a chaotic morning routine in my life :)

In this vlog, Tilly Lockey walks viewers through a typical weekday morning while she is homeschooling during COVID‑19 self‑isolation. She opens by explaining the video’s purpose – to answer questions about homeschooling and share tips for staying motivated when you’re stuck at home. She then demonstrates her light‑touch skincare and makeup routine, describing each product (moisturizer, concealer, blusher, mascara, lip balm) and why she keeps it minimal. Tilly introduces the Alarmy app, detailing how its “mission” feature (math problems, photo‑taking, shaking the phone) helps her get out of bed without waking her family. She shows her pre‑selected outfit (a pink "doll" tee, comfy jeggings from Fashion Nova, slippers) and stresses the benefit of laying clothes out the night before. After a quick cat cameo, she outlines her academic schedule for the day – an hour of Spanish, maths, environmental management, a Duolingo session, and a catch‑up block for any missed work. She mentions her granddad’s birthday, describing how the family leaves a cake on his doorstep to respect social‑distancing rules. Throughout, Tilly’s tone is informal, upbeat, and peppered with humor, offering practical advice while sharing personal quirks like lip‑chewing and her late‑night wake‑up time.

Hi everyone, it's Tilly and welcome back to my YouTube channel. Today I'm going to be showing you my everyday homeschooling routine, um, and that's because I've had a lot of questions about it, plus everyone's in self-isolating at the moment or self-distancing themselves, so so I feel like everybody can learn some tips when you're not usually homeschooled and you're having to work from home, like how to stay motivated and everything like that. So I'm going to be showing you all my homeschool routine, my everyday school routine today, and I hope you enjoy. I'm gonna get into it and do a bit of makeup on my face. This is my skincare bag where I'm going to use my moisturizer. This is where I keep makeup remover moisturizer, face masks, face food, spot zapper, lip balm, everything like that. I actually did break this, the zip came off, so now it's just open all the time, but it's fine. This is just moisturizer I'm putting on. To hydrate my face because I have dry skin. By the way, I literally can't turn on like my proper light over there in the morning because it just burns my eyes completely. So I have a little lamp that's on, so sorry about the lighting. If you don't like it, because I can't turn it on because I'll literally go blind for about 30 seconds, and I'm not up for doing that today. I wear very light makeup, if anything at all, so I'm just going to take some concealer and plop it under my eyes to make me look at least human. To help me wake up in the morning, I actually have an app that is called Alarmy, basically, and it's kind of like an upgrade from the alarm on the actual App Store, but it really, really helps you to wake up, I feel. And since everybody will be at home self-isolating at the moment, I really feel for everyone who's an extra of it in these times because they can't really socialize, especially if you're an only child. But hopefully I'm here to keep you happy, keep you entertained. And yeah, if you want to see any video in particular, I'm happy to make it if you just drop it below. But I do have this app, so if you're struggling to wake up in the morning, then you may find it really helpful. But it's called Alarmy, and you will set your alarm, and then you can kind of set a little mission that will come up with your alarm. So I have said earlier today to film this video— thanks everyone, I know I'm joking— um, but I had mine at 6:10. I do set multiple alarms. I'm only human, you know what I mean? Nobody gets up up on the first alarm, let's be real. These are missions, so I'm pretty sure, uh, you can do a little memory game right when you wake up and you have to do these missions before the alarm will turn off. So yeah, it kind of motivates you to do it and you have to do it before you wake everybody else up, especially if you're not living alone because I don't. I've got 4 sisters and a mum and a dad and they would be very angry if I woke them So yeah, you can set your mission. So me personally, I do maths problems in the morning because I feel like it kind of gets my brain working a bit. But I do have it set on very easy because my brain isn't up to scratch in the morning, and that's only human. So I would definitely recommend getting that app if you have trouble waking up. There is some moments when you have to like shake your phone or take a picture, or you actually need to walk to turn it off. So definitely check it out, that may help you a lot. Next, I'm going to take some blusher and pop it on my cheeks to bring a little bit of life back. And I feel like, well, me especially, I don't leave the house anyway, but everybody is like so pale around this time because we're not allowed to go outside. So I'm like white as a sheet right now. So blusher really is a lifesaver in these situations, and I will literally put it all over my face to make me look like I've actually got blood flowing through me. I can't even talk right now, it's that early in the morning. I just don't function this early. I actually start like fully— I'm fully awake at about 9 PM. So that's a great routine to be in. Really need to sort that out. Yeah, now I'm just going to put mascara on my eyes. Like, if I could only take one makeup product to a desert island, it would be mascara, 100%. We're not going too crazy cuz I'm only at school. And that's me in a Hooray! Fun, fun, fun. Oh, and there's me. And there's me hitting the top of my eye. Well, what can I say? Good thing no one's gonna see me today. Now I'm taking a lip balm and I'm just putting this all over my lips to keep them hydrated. This is really important, and I have a seriously bad habit of full-on eating my lips. Like, I will full-on sit and chomp on my lips. It's not healthy, it's not good. I think it's because I can't bite my nails, so that's usually what people would turn to. I mean, I do bite my fingers when I have my hands on But when I don't have them on, like, I'll just sit and chew on my lip, which isn't great for me because I'll literally always end up with like holes in my lip, which hurt like hell, by the way, especially when you're trying to eat some salt and vinegar crisps and it's just an absolute nightmare. All the vinegar and everything like getting inside of my lip, basically. I would usually do my eyebrows as well But my sister went out partying last night, so she got all her makeup upstairs, and I'm not prepared to walk up the stairs and go get it. So this is what we're dealing with today. This is my makeup routine, so I really don't wear a lot at all. Literally concealer, blusher, and mascara, and then lip balm, but that's not really makeup. It's like self-care, skincare, lip care. I have my outfit picked out already, and I actually got it out last night. And that's something I totally recommend because nobody wants to go digging around for like an outfit to wear on the morning. You just want to have like everything set out and ready to put on. I just feel like it's a lot easier that way, a lot less like stressful. There's a lot less to do in the morning. You literally can like roll out of bed and everything's there for you. So I definitely recommend doing that. Hi everyone, so this is my outfit. I'm just wearing a pink t-shirt that says doll on it. This is from Pretty Little Thing. And just some jeans, these are from Fashion Nova. And I would usually say like never wear jeans in the house, but since I'm recording and these jeans are literally the comfiest ever— I'm pretty sure they're jeggings, but they don't look like that at all, they look like proper jeans, but they're so comfortable. Which is exactly what I want. Nobody wants the jeans to be scratching their legs in half. And then I have slippers on the bottom that you saw earlier, just because why not. I'm gonna go brush my teeth, but I'm absolutely starving, so I really hope people will start to wake up soon so I can like go out and make noise, because I don't want to wake anybody up.
Meet my cat, everyone.
Time to get back on TikTok. Cool, Noah.
It's really bright.
I have 20 minutes before school starts, so I just want to show you my schedule. When I'm filming this, it is currently Friday, so today I will have Spanish for an hour, maths, environmental management, Plunge is the blue highlighter bit, and then Duolingo, which is a Spanish app, and then this arrow here because I get all the work I need to— I have to get done at 2 o'clock. It'll all finish, so the rest of the day I can catch up. If I'm gonna be away for a week or I'm just falling behind or something, I can catch up in that. So yeah, I'll probably end up doing maths for the rest of the day, but it is my granddad's birthday as well, so So we're gonna go kind of stand outside of his house. We can't go in because of the whole coronavirus and self-distancing and everything, so we're just gonna drop a cake on the doorstep and leave, which is so sad. But happy birthday, Grandad! Also, wasn't I cute?
