In this vlog, Tilly Lockey gives viewers an unfiltered look at a typical Monday, balancing her life as a fashion model with the challenges of living with a leg-lengthening condition. The video opens with Tilly explaining her goal to show both the glamorous and the difficult sides of her routine, including a hospital visit for hydrotherapy and a new gym program aimed at strengthening her leg. She documents the journey to Newcastle Hospital, the therapy session, and the physical state of her leg post‑treatment. Afterward, Tilly heads to the Marsden Grotto for a beach photoshoot with photographer Debbie, describing the logistical adjustments needed for makeup, clothing, and posing due to her limited mobility. The shoot includes adaptive directions from Debbie and a brief plan to swim in the North Sea. The vlog concludes with Tilly returning home, reflecting on the day’s fatigue, and encouraging viewers to follow her on Instagram, like, comment, and subscribe. Throughout, she emphasizes authenticity, the reality behind social‑media glamour, and her commitment to sharing her experience as an amputee/model.

Hi everyone, it's Tilly and welcome back to my YouTube channel. Today, as you would have seen by the title, I'm doing a day in the life of myself video. There are quite a lot of different sectors to my life, shall we say, and I feel like on social media you get a lot of the glamorous parts. But basically what I want to do in this vlog is show you all parts of my life, the difficult hospital trips and how it's not really that much glamorous. It can be, but not always, and everybody's life is like that. So yeah, that's the whole reason of this video. Plus I just thought it would be a really fun video to show you like behind the scenes of what I do in my life and modeling shoots and stuff, which I'm going to have a modeling shoot later, so you'll be able to see. I will talk more in depth about what we're going to do in this video when I'm in the car because I do have an appointment, so I need to quickly get ready. So we get in the car and get to the appointment. I'll talk to you all about it, as I said, when I get in the car, but hope you enjoy. So just pulling up to Newcastle Hospital now. I come here because of a problem I had with my leg. I really need to do a storytime about it because I keep talking about it in every video, but basically I had an operation to lengthen my leg because it stopped growing, and now it hasn't bent in 2 years. So I do hydrotherapy. I'm going to be starting to do gym as well at hospital, so that's twice a week I'll be at the hospital for hydro and for gym sessions. So I'm just gonna go do that today. I'll take you along with me, show you where I go. We also have a photo shoot planned with our amazing photographer Debbie, and it's basically just going to be on the beach. And we like to do photo shoots pretty much every Monday anyway, so I'll take you along to the modeling shoot as well, which be on the beach, and it's probably going to be absolutely freezing cold, but do it for the gram. So I finished hydrotherapy now on my leg. It's really floppy now and warm, my muscles. Um, but the plan was for this vlog I was gonna like show you how my life really isn't that glamorous, um, how I do my makeup usually in the hospital for every photo shoot. But there's been a change of plans, and since this photoshoot is on the beach, uh, my photographer thought that the tide would probably be in too soon. So we are actually going to the location where we're gonna have a meal. I'll do my makeup then, get ready and that, because right now I'm just in some joggers and cropped hoodie, and that's not the modeling outfit. So I'm gonna get ready and stuff at the restaurant and then we will start taking pictures. We're here at the grotto, the Marsden Grotto. We're going to go meet my photographer, eat because I'm starving, and then get started.
What about— can you bend your right leg?
Yeah, okay.
Kick it out a little bit. Like, yeah, that's it. Perfect. And just like move a little, you know, like a few different poses. Yeah, I know you can't really move, can you? You're just like sat in the seat. Always good lighting, doesn't it? Makes— yeah, eyes like really shine. It does. No, I'm just, I'm just vlogging. This is Debbie, everyone. So we're going for quite a dramatic look, so I don't know, like, if you can stretch your arms out a little. Even pretty like right above your head. Yeah, what about like a Should have got the Montenegro view during the, um, smoke.
Oh, I know.
I wish I got that on the vlog. You could do a bit with what's left. You could— we're going in the sea. Get in the Like, we'll be here when you get back, Tilly. What smells do you like? Something feels safe. Safe? It's when it starts coming in, isn't it? In the chicken. Chicken and goose. A bit into the— ah, try and get so where it covers your feet and then you can get back. And then just stand and just kind of look around and then come back out. That's it, lovely, elegant. Can you go a tiny bit slower? Slide through the seam. Beautiful. You're okay, that's it. Wait, now we need to call the nurse.
Hi everyone, so it's a while later now, I'm not gonna lie. I got home and I was just so tired and freezing cold, to be honest. So I like basically just sat on the couch and watched The Voice, watched that for a bit. I probably had a nap somewhere in between because I was tired. Today was all a blur. But yeah, I think I'm gonna end that vlog here. And that is an average Monday in my life where we go swimming in the North Sea because that's what people do here in England. As a model, but it's a lot of fun. Seen a couple of pictures, look really, really cool. And yeah, they'll be on my Instagram when you're seeing this, probably a couple will be on my Instagram when you're seeing this. So go check out my Instagram, it's Tilly.Lockey, and if you want to follow me on there, you can do. It would be greatly appreciated as well if you can do that. But I hope you enjoyed this video. Let me know if you did. Let me know what you'd like to see in the future. And yeah, make sure to like, comment, and subscribe, and I'll see you all next time.
