Is the term cyborg offensive? Looking it up, Google says a cyborg is a living being whose powers are enhanced by computer implants or mechanical body parts. By that knowledge, I have powers? One can only wish. This definition is more accurate to me: a human being whose body has been taken over in whole or in part by electromechanical devices. I.e., in history, cyborg has been a term referring to people upgraded using tech. However, in a lot of fiction and in the shows where the technology has taken over the world, the Cyborg is often the villain. Cyborgs against humans scenario. I was actually pre-warned before I got my Barnacoms that I might be hearing the term cyborg a lot, which I find just so funny in itself that somebody had to let me know. Do I find the term cyborg offensive? No. Now to me, cyborg sounds pretty cool and nobody really ever means it in like a bad way, so I accept that and take it as a superpower. No, I don't personally find the term cyborg offensive.
