Because I wear prosthetics though, the first kind of assumption about me, misconception, is that I'm like really, really rich because obviously prosthetics can definitely be pricey. That they are. But what a lot of people don't know is just how much support I've received. I'm from like the Northeast originally, and the way that community got behind me when I was fundraising for prosthetics at like 3 years old still blows my mind. Like, now I'm old enough to realize just how mental that was. My first private prosthetic was worth like £24,000. Crazy, I know. My community up north, like, we put that in the newspaper and they fundraised that in 24 hours. Literally overnight they funded my first prosthetic arm. And if it wasn't for that, who knows whether I'd even be wearing prosthetics now, because no, I don't just have the money to just like, you know, afford £24,000 like most people. So genuinely, without the support of my like neighborhood and my community, who knows whether I'd even be wearing prosthetics today.
