Hi everyone, it's Tilly, and welcome back to another YouTube video on my YouTube channel. Today we're going to be doing a makeup tutorial. I haven't done one of these in absolutely ages, to be honest. In lockdown, I've just been like trying to clear my skin up as much as possible, so I haven't been wearing too much makeup unless I've been like filming or doing stuff like that. So I haven't really done any makeup tutorials recently, but I'm really excited to get back into it. So yeah, here is our first YouTube video doing a makeup tutorial in a while. Now with coronavirus in the UK, it is now law that you have to wear a face mask, fabric face mask covering, um, into like different shops and everything. And it was then we realized that— me and my mom kind of realized that all your makeup, if you're wearing makeup out and about, it literally just gets gets rubbed off completely on your nose and chin, which obviously isn't a big deal. I would rather wear a face mask and keep myself and other people safe than wear makeup. You know, I'm not shallow at all. I totally understand the importance of that. But we realized that in order to still kind of make a statement with creative makeup and everything, it's kind of all relying on your eyes. Your eyes and like the very, very top of your nose, your eyebrows, and your forehead are like the only only thing seen while wearing these face masks out and about. So I wanted to do this makeup tutorial based around a more like glamorous eye look. So I'm gonna be doing eyeliner and everything, which I've actually got quite good at, guys. I remember saying in like so many previous interviews that I've done that I always really, really struggled with eyeliner, and I did. But now I've been practicing so much, like just going freehand as well, or free arm because I don't have hands. And I don't use my bionic arms to do it because it's more precise. I went from using tape on my eye and just kind of drawing it like that to kind of practice a little bit, and then I started trying to do it completely without. And now, if I do say so myself, I am quite good at eyeliner. I'm very impressed. It's not something that I ever thought I would be able to do, and it's a very common thing that people with hands struggle with when doing their makeup. Like, loads of people can't do their eyeliner, so I'm actually very impressed myself, but it just shows that practice makes perfect. But yeah, that's the kind of the route I was going down when doing this makeup look. It's very, very top-heavy, I guess, but that's a good thing in this case because I'm doing— obviously we're wearing a face mask and we're showing that you can still make a statement while wearing a face mask and keeping other people safe during the pandemic that we're all in. I'm doing this ombre kind of sunset look. It It's like yellow into orange into brown. It's kind of hard to pick it up on camera because, I don't know, it's just hard to pick it up on camera. But I'm just cutting the crease, and then I'm going over my crease, my actual eyelid, with some of the Huda Beauty liquid eyeshadows. And this is a really gorgeous kind of gold, kind of gold, kind of silver, and pinkish kind of glow, I guess. It's really, really pretty, and I love it so much. I use it in so many of my makeup looks because it just gives such a beautiful, like, glowy touch on the eyelid, and it's shiny. And we all know from these makeup tutorials that I love a bit of sparkle. Yeah, so I wanted to make a statement eye, and a statement eye can be seen in, like, various different ways. So I could have just went all out and, like, put glitter full-on just chunks of glitter all over my face, maybe some of my cheek, like shaved my eyebrows off with concealer and coloured them in a different colour. So it can be interpreted like glam in different ways, but I want it to be a more like, a more chill glam. It's definitely glam, like, like I've got the shiny liquid eyeshadow on there, we've got the eyeliner and the cut crease, but I didn't want to go all out with like glitter because it's still gotta be pretty neutral and you're able to go out and not be like stared at with it, which obviously doesn't matter. Like, if you want to wear glitter all over your eyes and all over your face, go for it, girl. But just for this look, I feel like it was more appealing to other people because not everybody's obsessed with glitter like I am. So I'm just showing you how I do my eyeliner here. I do use the eyeliner stick, liquid eyeliner, whatever I'm using without my brinner combs. I've mentioned in previous makeup tutorials it's easier, I feel like personally, to go without the bionic arms when doing the really precise bits. Like, we're talking really precise, like eyeliner. And sometimes I will just use my arms to do my eyebrows. But on this particular makeup tutorial, as you would have seen, I did use my bionic arms, which I was quite proud of. And they did come out really, really good, but they were a little bit messy, so I just sorted them out a little bit with some concealer. That's why I did the whole hand movement thing. But other than that, I feel like I'm getting a lot better. I do feel like eventually I'll be able to do my own eyeliner with the Bionic Arms. It just takes a lot of practice, as most things do. Like, it took me a lot of practice to do this without the Bionic Arms, so I will be able to do that eventually. At least I hope I will. They are getting more and more precise with updates and everything, so I'm really, really excited for the day that I'm able to do everything using my Bionic Arms. And they look really cool while doing it as well. Everyone seems to make such like stupid but funny faces when they're doing their mascara, and to be honest, mascara isn't too bad for me. Like, I can shut my mouth while I'm doing mascara. I know a lot of people like hang with their mouths open to be able to do the mascara. I don't know why people do that, but they do. A lot of people sneeze when they're doing their mascara as well, which I don't do a lot, and I'm very happy about that because that must be a pain when you do your mascara and then you sneeze and it gets all over everywhere. Not about that life. So I'm very lucky that that doesn't like trigger sneezing in me. However, I do always end up making the stupidest faces, as seen here, when I'm doing my eyeliner. It's like basically the same place as the mascara would go, but I always seem to get away with doing my mascara fine while I shut my mouth. Obviously here I was unable to do that. As you can see, I'm very happy with how my eyeliner turned out. Really the whole eye look, but mainly the eyeliner, because that sometimes still is a little bit of a struggle. It's always kind of like a 50/50 chance whether it's gonna go really, really great or just ruin everything. So I was very happy with how it turned out. Now I have complete my eye makeup, I'm moving on to my face makeup. So I'm just using this really nice fluffy, very soft brush. It's like one of my favorite things ever. And I'm using the Blush Bar Benefit palette for the contour that I'm using. It is shade Ghoula, and I'm also using the same palette for blusher and everything like that. But I'm just circling this and like carving out my cheekbones, basically. Here I am doing that. And of course, putting that same contour and bronzer all over my head as well to make my face very defined, just how I like it. I do think I was a little bit heavy-handed with the blusher here. The thing is, I used to hate blusher. I used to think like, look, what's the point? Why do I want my face red? You know, that's— I thought that's what we were trying to cover up, like foundation, concealer, all of that. But all of a sudden, I like love blushes so much. I put it everywhere. And I was very heavy-handed with it this time, especially on my nose, so I came out looking like an elf or Rudolph. But oh well, I sorted it out eventually. I don't know if anybody noticed, but I am wearing like a little hint of orange on my t-shirt. I was trying to match it up and stuff, so yeah, just thought I would point that out, you You know, I love to match things up to my outfit, so there you go. Obviously I don't have any bright orange, or any orange at all, arm cases at the moment, otherwise I totally would have wore them for this look and have a whole matching outfit. Urban Bionics, get on that. No, I'm joking. But I would appreciate some of them. If you're watching and you want to give somebody some arms for free, hello! Mascara went on completely fine, which I was very happy about. As I said, practice makes perfect, and just me doing all these makeup tutorials has made it really, really easy for me to be able to do my— fix my eyelashes, sort them out without poking my eye out. So obviously that's a very positive thing. A little dance for fun, because you all know I love singing and dancing while doing these things. And finally, we've got the lipstick. I didn't really know what lipstick to go for, so I just went for this really pretty basically my go-to whatever lipstick, like that shade is perfect and it suits anything. So I really like it and it went really well here. And finally, just to show you the whole look in action, here it is. I wanted to get some good lighting for you. It's really pretty, I love it so much. You see all my mess there in the background. And here it is with the mask. To keep yourself and other people around you safe, it's so important, guys. Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe, and I'll see See you all next time. Bye!
