What has your experience been like partnering with an Alex Council Group there in Blacksburg?
Well, I will tell you, I now go to the meetings once a quarter and make a little presentation about the economy or actually even drill it down and tell them about some things happening with our bank. I told them about the process of going through this merger that we're working on right now. We were involved in a proxy contest last year in 2023. So I told them about all the trials and tribulations of that. But a lot of it is centered around what's happening in the national and the local economies. You know, it's actually fun. You know, I have to prepare because there's a bunch of smart people in there. They're a lot smarter than I am. So And they ask good questions, so I have to prepare for it. But it's fun. They throw stuff at me that I've taken back to the bank and used or thought about. And I said, huh, I never thought about that before. Things like that.
