The video features CEOs (Speakers A, B, and C) describing the Leadership Exchange (LX) Council, a confidential peer group for business owners. They emphasize that the council provides a trusted “dream team” of fellow CEOs where candid, sometimes uncomfortable feedback is shared openly. The cross‑industry composition brings diverse expertise that helps members solve problems outside their own knowledge base. Participants value the ability to discuss real business challenges with peers who have faced similar situations, gaining actionable answers. The council also serves as a safe space for CEOs to protect and build confidence, with rapid development of deep trust among members, which the speakers claim is unusually strong compared to other CEO groups.

Ellis Council is a place for CEOs where they can have their actual dream team, which are their peers, in a confidential environment where they can trust, have open conversation, and learn from each other's experience.
So when I first joined Ellis Council, I wasn't sure it was going to be a positive that there were different industries, but what I have found is that because there are different knowledge experience bases, it's been able to help me a lot with areas that aren't my area of expertise.
When you own a business, you're an employee at a business. And so having a group of peers, fellow business owners and business leaders that you can share your issues with, that have been through a lot of similar situations and have those answers, has been invaluable.
You're going to get candid feedback from all your other CEOs around the table that you may not want to hear. It's hard to hear, but it's essential that you do hear.
Oftentimes things come up that I hadn't even anticipated, so things I didn't even know I had. I didn't even recognize were a problem or needed work comes up when other members are talking about what they've done in their businesses. And incrementally, I have really grown to trust this group to the point where they really intimately know a lot of the issues in our business.
As the CEO, you have to protect your confidence. So there's no better place in order to protect that confidence than by being involved in a peer group with your other peers around the table who understand what it's like to be in your shoes.
The reason I think this LX Council peer group is What made it specifically successful is we very quickly found a level of trust and sharing that, quite frankly, I don't know that I'd experienced in a group of CEOs before.
CEOs are always challenged with time. Not enough time to make decisions, not enough time to get everything done in a day. And all Elix Council groups are run by a professional moderator. They are either current business owners or have been business owners, so they have been in your shoes and they understand what it's like to be an owner. And being involved in this peer group, you actually save time. Because it's not about how much time you spend, it's about what you get out of the time that will take your business to the next level.
