Well, hi everyone, welcome to the show. And today's a little bit of a different show. As you can see, we have a new intro and it's a new year, so we are shaking things up a little bit. And I'm excited to mix, you know, share some updates and a little bit about the story of what we started the podcast and how we can, you know, have more of you involved and helping shape the future of our industry. So I want to start with something that to me is very important. We are a community, a tight community, and I like to support good causes. And this year I decided that we want to include something dear to my heart, and it's supporting Wounded Warrior Project. At Executive Checkpoint, we believe in giving back to those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. I'm proud to announce that we are now supporting the Wounded Warrior Project as an advocate. Looking forward to potentially doing more things to help them raise funds. It's a remarkable organization committed to empowering wounded veterans as they transition back to civilian life. So this is a relationship that reflects our community— commitment to the security community. And beyond. Now, it's also important for us to keep the doors open. So we are opening the gates for alliances, partnerships with some organizations. And I wanted to start with, you know, what I think I enjoy and I like, what's something that aligns with the show. So To celebrate the commitment, we're we're launching the official Executive Checkpoint branded mug, and I'm pairing it with one company that we really have no association. But I really like their message, right? It's the Black Coffee, the Black Rifle Coffee Company. And the main reason is because not only I enjoy it, I use it all the time, but is very own. Veterans Haven. They support veterans, of course, active duty military, first responders, and law enforcement. So every sip you take helps support those who serve. So stay tuned for how you can get your hands on— this is something that if you participated, you have— if you've been one of our guests in the show, you will be receiving one of these. We waited until after the holidays. to be able to send this without, you know, delay or additional cost. So, and we paired with my favorite coffee. So, a bag of coffee and a cup, and a cup, a mug from the show is coming your way. So, now to make this obviously accessible, now we are revamping or relaunching our website here soon. Uh, this platform will give you access to exclusive content, upcoming, uh, previews and events, industry insights, and that way you can stay engaged with the show and our growing audience. So we want to continue to listen to what you want to see, like to hear, and who you would like us to have in the show. And, you know, speaking of that, I don't think I had the opportunity, in fact, that Never share why I wanted to start the podcast. So I wanted to take a moment and share with you why I started the podcast. So I feel like as security professionals, especially those that hold leadership roles, we have a responsibility to share our knowledge and expertise. I feel like the new generations coming in, need to have access to this information. And maybe you're just looking to get into the industry and you wanna understand a little more what it is, or you've been in the industry and there's some practices that we share, what our leaders share, uh, coming on the show. Some of the guests come in, have incredible experiences. So our industry is evolving rapidly and navigating these challenges, uh, requires more than technical skill. It demands leadership. Yeah. Adaptability, and a deep understanding on how, you know, global trends are affecting our work. Everyone has a unique story to share, lessons worth sharing, of course. I created Executive Checkpoint to provide a space for those stories so emerging professionals can learn from real-world experiences and insights. Today, I want to extend that invitation to, you know, call in our executive group, CEOs, CSOs, and thought leaders within the security industry to step in, you know, share with the industry your legacy, potentially, of things that you want to leave for newcomers, your journey, the good, bad, and ugly, so to speak, but also reaching beyond our industry. I want to bring, uh, some renowned experts in business, economics, leadership, and academia so we can have a more rounded, insightful, uh, perspective. Uh, their insights can change our thinking and help us grow as a leader, uh, sharpen our business acumen, and of course better our understanding of the global forces that shape the security industry. So if you are interested in being a guest on Executive Checkpoint, or if you know someone whose perspective could strengthen our community, reach out to us directly. And I'm going to put the links below. So you can also stay tuned for the launch of our website for more ways to get involved. So I truly believe that when leaders lead. By sharing, we all grow. So this is our opportunity to strengthen the security industry through collaboration, insight, and leadership. So let's continue to build a strong, more adaptable community. I'd like to see us be one that is ready to lead in the face of any changes. And like I said, we see it every day in the news, and we need to be ready and open to conversation. So until next time, stay informed, stay secure, and we'll see you at the next Check Point. This is it for me today. I appreciate your time. It's a short, uh, podcast for me today, but I wanted to specifically take the time to engage with you on a one-on-one basis. So see you in the next, uh, large event in the security industry or on the next podcast.
