Small Changes That Can Shift Energy

Two salon owners discuss rotating nail stations diagonally to fit three manicurists comfortably and add modern energy. They also consider feng-shui fixes for their location next to a historic graveyard, where flickering lights and a "ghost town" vibe have been reported.

Alright, so tell me about the nail stations.
Okay, so since I've been here for the last little while, these nail stations have been straight this way, and there's always been one open. But now we have three manicurists that come regularly, and it's been one of those things where it used to be that there was a free space where people could put their things. They could just, you know, kind of bleed over into this one or to that one. So now everyone's kind of busy, and I'm trying to create more space without creating chaos, and I just don't know what your suggestion would be. I've always felt like maybe these should move, but I don't know how to move them.
Okay, the way they're stationed right now is— it's okay, there's nothing wrong with it, but I'm thinking if we slightly turn them just a little bit of a diagonal, it just gives it a little more energy, a little more of a modern feel to it. So, okay, let's give it a whirl.
All right, sounds good.
Just at a slight angle, and I normally don't recommend putting things at an angle because, because our minds like straight edges.
It's really amazing.
It is. I can't believe you could just turn it a little bit and it feels completely completely different, like a little bit of a modern, more modern feel to it.
It does, and it feels like they have a little more independent room.
Yeah, this is good.
So, uh, great.
All right.
Yeah, I love it already.
So, um, so that helped to have this area come alive, but it's like it really did. It felt a bit like a little, like a Nell ghost town, you know.
It's funny that you should mention that because in this area, um, this area has been here since the 1920s, and in this right behind this business across the street is a— well, it's a graveyard. And it's been said that maybe some of the people that are there like to come and go in the village.
Oh, did you notice them?
People have asked me if we feel like there's been some sort of activity in here, and I never know really how to answer, but the lights do flicker every once in a while.
Oh yeah? Okay, well, I will, you know, if you think that's a real issue or not, we can put like a mirror or something on the exterior of the building. You know, I don't necessarily feel it, although, you know, in your downstairs space, energy kind of rushes down to the downstairs space, and that can get a stagnant area. And so you already mentioned that you keep that place, that area, really space cleared, so I encourage you to keep doing that.
Okay.
And then, you know, if, you know, I don't know, not meaning to get into ghosts too much, but if you think it ever gets to where it's compromising your business, then, you know, we can do a little ghostbusting. Okay.
Wow, I've never done a little ghostbusting before, but that sounds exciting.
But generally, you know, having a business near a graveyard, or, you know, it's not the best energy, honestly. So we might look at putting something on the exterior that's This kind of deflects any negative energy into your space.
Okay, perfect.
