Hi, I'm Tisha Morris. Today I'm going to show you how to mix modern design with traditional design. Mixing different decorating styles is not only a lot of fun, but can add interest to your room. It's also a great way for mixing different decorating styles among couples. Today I'm going to show you some easy ways to mix modern decor with traditional. The great thing about using modern furniture is that it's clean and simple and mixes great with traditional furniture. Here we have a very modern mid-century chair that really adds a statement to a room. Because the chair is metal, I'm gonna add softness to it by adding a sheepskin. By adding texture to it, it will bring in those traditional elements. You can do this with any modern piece so that it adds softness and blends well with your existing decor. Here we have a variety of pillows with different textures and colors to give the space more interest and blending different styles.
