Canada, I've got a challenge for you, and there are prizes involved. I want you to mail me the smallest possible souvenir from your community. A trinket so small it could ride shotgun in a Kinder Surprise. A magnet from Tofino, or a thimble from Moose Jaw, or one of those spoons from Niagara Falls that nobody actually uses. Surprise me. There are only 3 rules: it has to say the name of your community somewhere on it, it has to be able to fit into a regular letter-sized envelope, it cannot be radioactive. I'm looking at you, Saskatchewan. Unless there's there are hundreds of them, I will show them all. And if I like yours best, you will win a huge gift box of locally made BC foods like smoked salmon, jams, and chocolate, all the good stuff. Number 2, lifetime premium subscriptions to my newsletter for you and 5 of your friends, because nothing says friendship like forcing people to read Canadian history. And number 3, I'll even make a video about your town, even if it's so small the gas station doubles as the mayor's office. All you have to do is put your tiny treasure in an envelope, include your name and where you're from, and send it to the address here. I have to by Labour Day, so get cracking. Show me your smallest, Canada, because if your town's pride can't fit in an envelope, you are not trying hard enough.
