One town, one day, everyone treated as a neighbor regardless of politics or background. Focus on what people actually need: safety, food, education. A free newsletter launching Saturday explains how to join the first group.

Is it possible that the solution to all this hate is this simple? For just one day, treating the people of just one town as our neighbors, our actual neighbors, you know, like no matter where their family immigrated from or how many trans kids they have or even how they voted. Neighbors, not symbols, not bit players in someone else's culture war, just people who need the same thing we do: safety. Food on the table, our kids in school. Like, I'm not the only one seeing this, right? Outrage is being farmed on an industrial scale. It's turning Americans and Canadians into abstractions and then selling us the fear of each other. So what if we broke that model on one day for just one town? Well, we're gonna try. This is a project I've been working on for some time, and I'll be going through the details of how it'll work in my newsletter this Saturday. So join it at newsletter.todmaffin.com. It is free to join, and if you get in now, you will be in the first group. Project 2025 took something away from all of us. Next week, we start taking it back. We're gonna be okay.
